fight sucked. sheilds has no business holding a belt. he can’t fight on his feet. daley cant fight on the ground.

Agree, I can’t stand Jake shields, he has to be one of the most Boring fighters… all he has is Submissions, not even ground and pound.. Daley was getting hit by Shields Elbows and smiled at him

you can take the top 20 welterweights from UFC and they’d all kill daley. not top 10 welterweight at all.

hes standing is really bad… he had no feet movement at all…. dammm top 10 more like top 100.. and his ground ^ pound is worst, no power in his punches, some one else probaly ended that fight in the first minute…

To think that some people had Shields as high as a top 3 welterweight…maybe now they’ll rethink his ranking…Daley is still a serious striker, which can pose anyone a problem, but no excuse for Jake to not be able to do more damage when his opponent was down…

I am amazed that Shields thinks he can hang with St. Pierre. What a joke. He looked horrible and was almost knocked out. IF Daley had a ground game, he would have been beaten down.

Also, Jake looks like a horse. Braces, Jake, look into them.

ohh how the haters hate! shields bjj is top notch. yeah he has to work on his stand up, everyones got to work on something. gsp he’s no were near ready for, and yeah guys ufc is stacked with better fighters for two main reasons.
1. ufc is a monopoly (even though i love it, it’s the truth)
2. ufc has been around a shit load longer
however shields won and he keeps on winning

i dun really care, i won money on shields. how he won, it’s like the same thing as big nog winning. get his ass beat by sylvia and pull off an anaconda choke. i agree he have no gnp and stand up is flatfooted. but whatever works for him. i think gsp is a better fighter, but one way to find out. til then, not gonna compare. if u guys dont like shields as champ, do something about it. train and compete and get notice, climb the ladder and challenge him. why did u guys bother watching it if u think ufc is better? “i hate watching bob saget on full house. lets watch it to bitch about him”. give me a break

Sorry, Satan, but Shields is not as good as GSP or Penn for that matter. He is good, but just does not match up with the top guns at the UFC. This fight exposed his stand-up. GSP would pick him apart then submit him.

I don’t even know what the argument is all about. Shields is the elite xc champ and that’s it. He’s not the UFC, WEC, Dream, etc champ. Deal with it. Obviously a UFC belt carries more weight than an elitexc belt and everyone knows that.
