It appears he is becoming the great U.K. fighter that the UFC has groomed him to be. With hopes of conquering the ever growing U.K. MMA market, Bisping has been given handpicked fighters that match well against his fighting style.
Last Saturday at UFC 70 Bisping fought a solid fighter in Elvis Sinosic. With good Muay Thai and Jiu-Jitsu skills, Sinosic had a better chance for a win against Bisping than Bisping’s previous 2 UFC competitors.
Sometimes good grappling skills like Sinosic possesses just don’t hold up to the strength and speed of a tougher man. Aside from the knee shot that momentarily stunned Bisping Elvis Sinosic was helpless dead weight under the “ground and pound” beating.
Bisping will probably be handed one more easy match up in Ireland to help boost the UFC U.K. hype. After that he will have to fight one of the big boys. Then we will know his true place in the light heavyweight division.
