The Invicta Fighting Championship inaugural show will be held tonight (Sat., April 28, 2012) in Kansas City, Missouri, and will be headlined by former Strikeforce Champion Marloes Coenen taking on Romy Ruyssen.

115 lbs.: Sally Krumdiack (113.6) vs Sarah Schneider (115.6)
105 lbs.: Nicdali Rivera-Calanoc (105.4) vs Amy Davis (105.6)

*Fighter has been fined 10% and has two hours to make weight. If they fail to make weight within two hours, they must forfeit 25% of their purse and the fight will be conducted at an upgraded weight class.

It’s been properly invested in. The major MMA sites have had pieces about the event. MMAJunkie has been covering it pretty closely. It’s sreaming free on Invicta FC’s website. 8pm Eastern. Just google Invicta FC and you’ll find it.

@JBS77 I’m guessing some of these women are trying to move down just so they can be on the card. I do wonder if there has been a proper study on female weight-cutting. I would assume it’s harder for females to cut weight, but that opinion is not based on any science.

If you missed the event, try to find the Kaitlin Young (who KOed Miesha Tate with a head kick) vs Leslie (Lil’ Diaz) Smith, from the Cesar Gracie camp, fight video. It was one of the best fights of the year. I know they will probably not add it to FOY awards, but they should at least receive a mention.

Bruno: Nobody has a copy of the event that works. All of the sapo vid only play about half the fight and them stops. Will post if good vid becomes available.

Thanks, Bruno! I think they will release some videos soon to promote the org. At least it would make sense as it was streamed live for free.

Bruno: I will keep checking. The vids out here now are stopping before the end and posting those would just piss people off. If anyone fines a fast working vid of the Kaitlin Young fight I will gladly post it.
