Tempted – incorrect. ‘If it wasn’t for Zuffa’ – LMAO. Zuffa effectively killed it. It might not have been blitzing it financially, but certainly wasn’t near bankruptcy, and it had a solid stable of fighters. Tell us, why would Zuffa had have gone out of their way to purchase it if was just about to go bankrupt and therefore be gone anyway? Seems kind of stupid don’t you think? Don’t try and bullshit people just to defend you Zuffa allegience.

You all realize that if it wasn’t for ZUFFA, Strikeforce would have gone bankrupt a year ago, right? I can only hope that Moronuro Ranallo falls off of a cliff before he gets a chance to screw up audio for the UFC.

YAY – vanilla UFC MMA forever. Stale and Boring predictable prospect-contender-top contender roundabout rubbish. Sure in the short term we’ll get some good match ups, but once that’s happened then what? What happens in the long term? No decent fighters outside the org, every fighter just coming up from the bottom. Every other org a feeder to the UFC… No tournaments to mix things up. Womens MMA an afterthought. No decent alternate orgs with top level talent. Boring vanilla MMA with no avenues for fighters and 100% control for Zuffa. Business as usual, I guess. Yeah it’ll make them the most $$$, great for their bottom line, but MMA fans in the long run will lose, mark my words.

Variety is the spice of life, there’s more than one way of having the best fighters fight each other that having them all in the UFC. Short sighted people cannot seem to understand this.

MMA is dead, UFC and the f****** garbage Unified Rules is what the world of MMA must digest. Zuffa’s way or the highway. Its been that way for a while, but now it’s official. Fighters and fans suck it up, there are no other options, no competitor to keep them honest. No new ideas. But yeah we get some good match ups, I hope its worth it.

First, DUH!!! Who wasn’t expecting that?

Second, SF women can mostly go to either Invicta or Bellator. The ones that will be really screwed will be Ronda, Cyborg and Tate. Their current paydays are probably above what the other organizations can afford. Nonetheless, if they get them, these fighters would bring a lot of heavy investors with them.
And, Douchy Dana Douche knows it. It will be very interesting to see how The Douche of White and the Fertitta Bros. will play their hand…

White has already indicated UFC will be doing Cyborg vs. Rousy, so the door is open already. SF may have highlighted SOME top female talent but Invicta has been much better for the cause. UFC now has a huge legitimate promotion to pick top female talent from.

would love to see a 4 or 8 man tournament of fighters from strikerforce fighting good fighters that could get cut from the UFC and the winner gets the next title shot at given weight..this will create interest for the SF fighters and they’ll fight hard to earn their spot, and the current B class of UFC fighters will fight hard as well…

Good, bring over the few fighters worthy of the UFC then scrap the rest of the promotion. The only downside is losing the biggest showcase for the Womens divisions.
