X-Play’s Adam Sessler talks to Neven Dravinski about the new game set to release next year, and how the new version differs from the previous two released by THQ.
Looks good. I’ll be buying it. Did anyone ever buy the EA Sports version? I thought it looked horrible from the first time I saw previews, so I never tried it.
Dude the last game had the most menu heavy, confusing, boring career mode ever, and the ground aspect was about as intuitive molecular engeneering, not to mention just plain not fun. The game did a horrible job at teaching also. I hope they took ideas from EA MMA.
uh ea mma was horrible. if you liked that over either ufc dont buy games anymore. the community is better off without you.
This game still looks the same as the 2nd game. I will still be buying it even though I will probably still play EA mma more.
This isn’t realistic because no one in the UFC pulls mission control or rubber guard.
@Tapater
calm down hater if he likes a game over an other that doesnt mean he’s a worthless piece of sh!t.You cant judge people’s preferences asshole.I hated ea sports mma but i dont hatepeople who like the game. You must be the kind of r-tard who fuels the ps3 vs xbox360 bullshit when they have 98% the same games.Do you know what community doesnt need??A worthless hater who has no positive in his life and no friends so you have to insult a guy for silly reasons
EA MMA kicked ass. Period.
ha, I had a feeling they would jack the submission system from EA MMA… totally right!
Tapater, you might wanna actually PLAY a game before judging it. EA Sports MMA was better than the UFC product in many, many ways.
Dude the EA game was awesome! I loved the game play in the clinch along the ropes or against the cage. Punching combos with the analog sticks felt more natural. The foot stomps and soccer kicks to the head during Vale Tudo/Japanese rules were brutal!
it looks good but i dont like the new submission aspect of it.that s*** in the middle of the screen is stupid.they fix something that wasnt broken… but other than that it looks good.oh and ea mma is not made for hardcore gamers .its not technecal at all.its more for like 8 year old kids..
The thing is i dont even like ea sports MMA because of the grappling aspect.3 buttons doesnt represent the whole grappling game imo.But still i wont insult anybody who disagrees because its just my preference.
@ bigd88 Looking and assuming is both the wrong thing. IMHO EA MMA was a way better game than UFC undisputed only someone that close minded able to judge without trying. It doesn’t hurt to play for yourself.
I own both ufcs and ea mma so i dont get where you think you know all this stuff about me. the only good think about ea was the sub system. it was better ill give you that. the standup was stupid. the career was stupid. transitions on the ground was stupid. so i shouldnt insult a guy for silly reasons huh and your just jumping off saying i have no friends and no positives in life haha yeah take your own advice dumb ass
exactly what nocomeoahu said
@ Tapater, I’ll consider your advice. Now YOU take my advice and stop wasting bandwidth on MMATKO. Where do you get off insulting somebody for having a different taste in game than you?? What are you 10 years old? Get out of here and let the grown ups talk umm k? Thanks. : )
The people that are saying ea mma is a good game need to reevaluate their lives.
EA MMA smoked all the UFC games so I hope this will be good!
The people that insult someone over a VIDEO GAME need to reevaluate their lives.
Making a “realistic” submission or grappling game with a controller would be a huge challenge.
There are usually around 8 directions anything could go, and it is a constant “adjusting and reacting” to the opponent that would be intensely frustrating to play in a video game.
I think this submission system is a pretty good representation of that, although, I would have liked it if the graphic wasn’t right in the center (if someone is watching the match, it should look like a ufc match, with any bars/graphics off to the side)
I never played the EA version, but I quite enjoyed the complexity of undisputed (the first one – I hear the second one was bad)
