Tricky, but good transition. Be careful if you are practicing, leg locks are the easiest way to sideline someone for months.

its a good submission.. but how can he call it submission 101. It’s not that easy to pull off a knee bar. There is no way for a white belt to do that move. This is considered a more advance move. submission101 is more like pulling a bend up arm bar from side control.

hmm i don’t like his hand placement on the finish of the kneebar i don’t like it AT ALL! I CALL BULLSHIDO! He really should use coffin grip or put it behind his arm pit. Wat say the rest of you?

Seems to me there are a bunch of other submissions you can do other than a knee bar from side control, like kimura, americana, arm triangle even an arm bar. Why go for the knee? Seems too risky because if you fail you would lose your dominant position. Has anyone actually done it in MMA?

well mike, if you would take a look at the picture for this bulletin, you’ll see a fighting performing that submission.

If you properly place your feet on your opponent during a side control knee-bar, you dont really need a sick grip with your hands and it is also tough to place the foot under your armpit from that position unless your opponent has really long legs…
