I disagree with Rashad about “loving fighting”. Many of the best do not “love to fight”.

How does Rashad Evans talking about a true thing like loving the sport you want to do- to people sh*tting on the US and how everyone is spoiled. I dont know why your saying this, Or where you are in the world? But the overwhelming majority of Americans are pretty poor, with not an easy life…

@Powertele: I agree with your point, but don’t think things in Brazil are any better. Some good fighters from Brazil may have struggled to get where they are, but there are a lot of rich kids down there with the same issues we have in the US. The stereotype that all Brazilian fighters come from poor families and have to struggle to become fighters is not real. Many of them come from very wealthy families and are as spoiled as the American kids of today.

Silverfox: The American culture sucks. Young Americans want to sit at home and play video games while parents bend over backwards to protect their sensitive little feelings. How is education going to counter that? Let’s stop blaming eductation for the fact that PARENTS are raising some soft, sensitive,freeloaders.

@silverfox-USA lacks passion because everything is at our fingertips. Spoiled. . .I teach at a high school and I have done it for quite some time so I know. People need to struggle a little and not have everything given to them. My best students have families that make them earn everything. That is probably why the Brazilian fighters are so good. They have a hard life down there. As the USA puts businesses there and their standard of living improves, we will see how they do. Even in the dominate Asian cultures, their second and third generations in the USA begin to act like your average USA person. Spoiled, lazy, and expect the world to be laid at their feet.

i always say learning is a by-product of passion. if you love something, you’ll not only live a happy life, but you’ll learn a lot along the way, and be excited to get out of bed each day. this is why the american education system sucks
