I said to myself I would never watch an Okami fight again.Jab step out,right straight step out,kick step out,takedown.But at least the 3rd was interesting when Hector “No footwork” Lombard moved forward instead of standing there like a tree.

Round 1&2 Okami easily.You can’t win a round by standing there,get jabbed and hit the air before getting taken down for almost half of the round.Okami is boring but Lombard is an idiot for thinking people will actually go in his T-rex arm range and get Koed.HE needs to chase people he can’t wait there or he will lose all his fights in the UFC.People will just throw 1 or 2 strikes move and make him swing at the air.

Okami’s game plan was excellent. But not sure if he deserved that win. 1st and last rounds were Lombard’s in my book.
Hector is too one dimensional. Where the hell was his Olympic level Judo throws and trips?! Where the hell is his grappling?! I think he has fallen into the same mindset as Rampage and is in love with the KO. They forgot that this is MMA and refuse to do anything else except punch when things are not going their way.

lombard needs to stop giving away rounds an step the intensity up from the start. Certainly has the skills for the top, but needs to be more agressive .. that or hit 170

Lombard is just too short. Fighting top competition, any little disadvantage becomes huge and you could see how he just couldn’t get past through Okami’s jab.

I’m pretty sure that everyone ,as well as myself, was surprised with how easily Okami took Lombard down. With a single leg to boot.

How much single leg take down defense do they practice while training for the olympics? Evidently not much. Love Lombard in some matchups, but Okami clearly had his number.
