@ Powertele, Lombard wasn’t throwing bombs at Boetsch. I don’t know what his problem was in that fight, but that wasn’t any Lombard I’ve ever seen. I’m hoping that was the UFC jitters and we continue to see this Lombard for now on.

Wow, Toquinho looked terrible at this one. Could see the fear in his eyes.Lombard came with the perfect gameplay for this match; the guys from ATT know toquinho and know that it was a good match for lombard: just throw bombs in the face, make him despair, keep him away from takedowns, and do not go to ground, ever. An easy match for Lombard against a tough fighter, and if toquinho looses another one, I’m afraid he could be out. Bad thing because I like to see him fighting, but he is too unstable…

@powertele: Lombard was injured going into the Boetsch fight. Under normal circumstances Boetsch wouldnt have a chance and would probably get KO’ed quicker than Paul Harris (Rousimar).

Still need to see Lombard against Bisping or Weidman or Belfort or Belcher….one more impressive win and i’m sold, especially if he wins by KO….don’t think he has anything to offer Anderson that Vitor or Henderson didn’t already bring to the table, but all of a sudden the UFC’s MW division is deep!

sure, but no more than that. Boetch managed not to get ripped apart by slowly plodding, uninterested Lombard (don’t know what was wrong with him on this night but something was, maybe Lombard wanted to win it without putting an effort) although he got clearly beat by Lombard.

Lombard look exactly the same he did in the Boestch fight, the difference was that Palhares was moving always to the right and let himself be cornered some times, wich is exactly the kind of fight Lombard likes. Unfortnanetly for Plahares he fight the kind of fight Lombard likes

@Sammy: no way Rousimar was taking Lombard down. Lombard is a world class Judoka. Rousimar’s bjj is not enough to take him down and his striking is not even close to Lombard’s so i dont see how Rousimar thought he was going to win this.

The steroids negated themselves with each other. If Paul Harris is not going to take down his opponents or do something from guard… he’s never going to ascend. He also has no stand up. He was a sitting duck with no game plan.

I feel you guys on this. Could have been an injury or jitters or both. Either way, I would never fight a dude that huge because the strength is just crazy. The punching power is insane and he stalked down his opponent. He was ready for those leg locks.
