Log in to Reply American MMa September 29, 2011 GSP is just making excuses for not wanting to fight Diaz. NICK Diaz has never skipped any fight. Log in to Reply Doyle Brunson September 29, 2011 I dont care anymore about what GSP has to say about these guys. Hes just got to lay on Carlos for 25 mins and Diaz has to beat BJ and then well see the real deal Log in to Reply ibunn September 29, 2011 GSP doesn’t need to make excuses! GSP was at the press conference, he didn’t ***** out Since when does the guy that DOES show up have to make excuses??? And if GSP decides to lay on condit for the whole f-kin fight than its condits responsibility to not let that happen! Condit knows who hes dealing with so he needs to train hard and prepare and figure out ways to counter that shit. Log in to Reply rainbow September 29, 2011 SO, What if Condit submits GSP. One good strike, George gets dazed, Carlos sinks a choke. Carlos is very able to do it. Log in to Reply Lazer212 September 29, 2011 Everyone always wants to criticize GSP, but how about criticizing the challenger for once! The challenger is the one that has to go in there and push the action and force the fight, he’s the one with nothing to lose and everything to gain. If you want the belt get in there, turn it into a war and take the F*CKING strap away from the champ. Both times GSP won the belt he went in there pushing the pace and action and came out with two decisive wins. Stop putting all the blame on the champ and put a little of the blame on the challenger. Log in to Reply tylaman4 September 29, 2011 lazer212 nails it !! … someone needs to get the nutz to go in there and start a war with gsp … then again fitch tried that and got pummeled … sooo damned if you do and damned if you dont ?? Log in to Reply KungFuLowKick September 29, 2011 Last time i remember GSP busted up Thiago ALves face with Gnp,He TKOed Matt Serra with GnP,he subbed matt Hughes,he Tkoed Bj Penn mostly with GnP,and he almost got to submissions on Hardy last when he fought him.Thats a pretty dangerous ground game if you ask me.But every hater here likes Chael Sonnen but Chael lost 3 times by submission and won 5 decision in his last 8 fights.Gsp had 5 decison and 3 finishes against CHAMPIONSHIP CAHLLENGERS.Give him a break for not finishing all his fights.Pernell Withaker is one of the greatest boxer of all time but he only had 17 finishes. But nobody could touch him or beat him.GSP is the Withaker of MMA.When Withaker was owning people with his great defense, intelligent fans weren’t criticizing him, they were criticizing his oppoennet for not touching him.Its the same thing with GSP.If his oppoents cant punch him because each time they throw a pucnh he weaves and takes them down, its not GSP’s fault,he’s owning them without getting touched. And if they can’t get up it ust shows they are not good enough on the ground. You cirticize him but he’s not one of those fighters who won’t be able to speak ad will have brain damage at the end of his career. That means he will have a way longer career.Silva is 36 but he looks much fresher and healthier then most fighter who are 35+.It’s because he doesn’t take damage.Hpkins still keeps going because he never brawled and took unesecery damage.GSP, Silva, Couture, and Hopkins are all smart fighters who used their strong points to dominate their opponents without getting too much damage.Silva uses his Strikign and extrmely great timing,Couture used his cage dirty boxing and great wrestling to dominate his opponents and GSP uses his good wrestling and takedowns to not get damaged. If you hate them for that its your problem.I think smart fighters are the greatest fighters. Log in to Reply ibunn September 29, 2011 @Lazer212 I agree with you 100% Log in to Reply murell September 29, 2011 Very good points made by ibunn and lazer212,GSP is the Champ, and for good reason. Log in to Reply mangjose September 29, 2011 GSP is just making excuses for not wanting to fight Diaz. NICK Diaz has never skipped any fight. – And he just did.. Log in to Reply mangjose September 29, 2011 Nick Diaz will have is ASS kicked after he fight BJ PENN… Log in to Reply mmaok September 29, 2011 You are incorrect. Nick Diaz has missed a title fight because he failed a DRUG test. Don’t let facts get in your way of posting nonsense. Log in to Reply Klopper September 29, 2011 Oh my God that was boring. One trite question after another. Oh, Fox, we hope you get better. Log in to Reply Nitts September 30, 2011 Not only would GSP beat the shit outta Diaz but so would/will Condit and Penn. He’s a Strikeforce level fighter! Log in to Reply kyokushin September 30, 2011 i dont get it why people keep on labeling gsp as lay n prey fighter??? pls tell me which fight that he does lay n prey. vs shields: standup boxing, kickboxing, spinning back kick. vs koscheck 2: all jab 5 rounds, 1-2, 1-1-2 punch combo, roundhouse. vs hardy: he tried to break hardys arm using armbar n kimura, others wouldve tapped. vs fitch ,serra, bj penn, alves: all mix of standup and GNP, he never lays on top and stall. Log in to Reply mixed September 30, 2011 “”””GSP is just making excuses for not wanting to fight Diaz. NICK Diaz has never skipped any fight.”””” Thats insane …….pull your pants up son . Log in to Reply bigbob September 30, 2011 its time for gsp to k.o someone thats what the americans want so thats what he has to do the yanks and hillibillies no nuthing about being champ. Log in to Reply thaifighter September 30, 2011 this is gonna be a good fight and i think it will wind up on the feet longer than most of u think it will. Log in to Reply Shinka MMA September 30, 2011 ^agree with kyokushin. “Lay ‘n Pray” is takedown and mild damage with boring strikes. GSP is beating the dude up the whole time, on the feat or on the ground. Log in to Reply mangjose October 1, 2011 PLANET of the APES??.. maybe.. doesnt have any idea what GSP,PENN and Condit possess they are the BIG THREE of the WW division its like the BIG THREE of the chicago bulls(jordan, pippen, rodman) up against (lebron, wade, bosh)over hype JAKE SHIELDS,DAN HARDY and smash mouth NICK Diaz Log in to Reply ironfist October 1, 2011 my prob with gsp is he doesn’t finish any one and has been a greased up cheater in the past Log in to Reply rage250 October 1, 2011 WoW! it amazes me (though I guess it shouldn’t… you’re probably all of Diaz’ gene pool) that there are people out there that are brain dead enough to put GSP down for Diaz’s lack of commitment/professionalism. Diaz has been (supposedly) calling GSP out for how long now? and when he gets what he’s been asking for…. he does everything HE can to make sure it falls apart. GSP shows for every damned conference–as do all the other fighters who wish to keep their contracts in the UFC. What makes anyone thing Diaz is anything special or exceptional to this rule? if you don’t show up for work, you get fired! That S applies to everyone, everywhere. You try it some time. Don’t call & don’t show a few times for work. I bet the next time you show up, someone else will be doing your job too. And as for GSP’s purported “lay & pray” style…. hog S*#t!! It’s like Kungfulowkick so eloquently listed–he’s finished some pretty top level guys (Hughes-thrice, Penn, Sherk, Serra, Trigg), and battered a few others (Penn-second fight, Alves, Jabbed Kos’ face off) to a decision. I’ve heard it said that to be the champion you’ve got to BEAT the champion… GSP fights “smart”, he doesn’t get wreckless just so you armchair warriors can get some your highschool level brawling fix. This is a technical game, and the stakes are high. If someone can think of a way to neutralize his style, then lets see it. Until then, people will lose by whatever means necessary–could be kicks, punches, subs…. or it could be g&p. Bottom line = GSP is a damn good fighter, AND he does his job. Diaz is a damn good fighter, and he does what HE wants…. then shifts blame when he gets what’s coming. Log in to Reply Leave a Reply Cancel reply You must be logged in to post a comment.
