Some ufc fighters are true warriors and love the challenge of fighting out of their comfort zone even if there’s a huge chance of a loss. Penn, Couture, Spider. Hell I even give respect to (gulp*)Sonnen and Jake Sheilds for stepping up to fight in a higher div against very dangerous opponents.

GSP is the Flyod Mayweather of the ufc. Picking the easiest path of fights in order to keep the loss’s down. In other words chicken-s*** fighters. GSP’s forula in every fight = dry hump opponents for 5rds without hurting/subbing him and ekk out points win. Borrrrring

You are mistaken, he only has a 1.6 inch reach advantage, hardly “huge”. He does however have a slight reach advantage, and a height advantage. But this could easily be negated by his much better wrestling. I think 177.5 lbs catch weight would be most fair, split it down the middle.

Great fighter but his constant reluctance to come out of his comfort zone makes him dull in my opinion. Silva has moved up and so has Penn. His legacy and bank balance is already cemented so i find it difficult to understand why he doesnt want to try something new against possibly the best striker ever to grace the UFC. Well hopefully the beast that is Condit gives him a run for his money.

second the couch potatoes who are asking why isn’t gsp just jump and go to 180lb who haven’t trained a day don’t know F*** all about training. someone who has trained and is not fat actually knows how difficult that is for a very fit guy to move up or down properly. anderson easily has 30 to 35 pounds over GSP, I can understand him not going up wight. I wouldn’t if I was him.
