I don’t mean to try to be a penny on the track of the Hendricks train, but the dude barely got by Kos. Yes, he put Kampmann down, but that was bound to happen as soon as Kampmann met a dude with the power to do so, seeing as Kampmann gets more hits than that Gangnam style vid. If he lands that left missile, then nite nite GSP. I don’t see it happening though.

Everyone is crap talking Kampman like he is a gate keeper, he was the one pushing the pace, he ate a punch, it happens. Kampman is the real deal though so seriously wisen up.. Hendricks needs a RM with Kos or maybe Fitch a solid 170 wrestler, before people waste money on GSP holding him down for 5 rds. White is holding this super fight off and its gonna bite him in the ass bad when Anderson gets hurt or something stupid.

let me guess what gsp is going to do to win. only fight in Montreal. Use his karate background to maintain a safe distance if standing. If hendricks comes in to close take him down when he commits to a strike. Hold him down and do some ground and pound. Hendricks dosen’t want to be taken down in the next round so he doesn’t want to commit to his strikes but if he does, gsp goes for the take down. If GSP gets taken down, he uses his knowledge about BJJ to avoid being submitted and his wrestling to get back on his feet. GSP wins by decision and Canadians go crazy. Later on in the post fight interview he upset when reporters ask him about Anderson Silva and says Hendricks was the hardest opponent he every faced.

I’m not trying to talk any of these fighters down. Not Kampmann (one of my faves), and def. not Hendricks. They are indeed the “real deal”. Hendricks DEFINITELY deserves a shot at GSP, more than anyone, but it’s the way I see it. Kampmann takes a lot of blows. So Johny’s performance against Martin, while obviously amazing, only truly showcased Hendricks’ incredible power, and how prone Martin Kampmann is to getting hit. Knowing how powerful that left hand is, you’d think Martin would move his head a little more. Of course, I’ve been saying that about Martin since I first seen him fight.
If Johny can land lefty on GSP’s jaw, then it will be a bad night for GSP. But GSP is beyond a huge left hand. Most nights anyway.

Hendricks poses the same problems that koscheck did to gsp only better in everyway,better collegiate wrestling career and hes got heavy power. i see hendricks as gsps cryptonite stuff everytake down attempt than stalk him down and put him to sleep.

Hendricks will NOT out wrestle GSP. Gsp is just ‘that bit’ better than everyone else at wrestling. However, Id like to see the fight. Hendricks could KO GSP. But i see it going the same way as GSP vs Kos

i agree with ultimate diaz vs gsp is a more interesting fight on paper i haven’t entirely been wowed by hendricks yet (he should take another fight) gsp should fight silva so that he loses and comes back angry and determined then and only then may we see gsp actually finish some one mortal kombat style

^^^BEAST u do make some good points but you forget that the diaz st-piere fight is only good on paper, what makes u think that diaz can stuff georges take down. it will be a boring fight, every st piere fight will be the same, thats the way he “fight”…only anderson can make him look like a chump, thats why st piere wont ever take the fight.

I don’t think hendricks can out wrestle GSP, it’ll end up the same, because he’s just that good. (a talented fighter in standup, makes for better shots for wrestling).
I still don’t like the GSP vs Silva fight though…I severely doubt that GSP is going to hold Silva down

2 things that make Hendricks a different fighter than anyone GSP has faced.
He is a left-handed fighter with tremendous KO power
He fights with no fear
No-one that has faced GSP has had as much recklessness and fearlessness as Hendricks.
He can take a tremendous punch and give back an even bigger one. The fight with Kos tells me that GSP could and should win against Hendricks, but the KO of Fitch tells me that GSP will be on his toes and worried about the knockout.

ummm, GSP broke KOS’ eye socket. In fact, had the Ref noticed the instability/deformity(something i noticed between rounds when his eye socked moved as they were applying ice) the fight would – AND SHOULD – have been stopped with GSP winning by TKO.

^^^dankarelli yes he did broke it, in the first round, and then didnt do s*** to finish a half blind kos, he went to jab him for 4 rounds because he knew he cant get hit from kos. he was scared, fighting defensive only. even when the other guy is dying. if ur the best fighter in the world, u finish a half blind guy in 4 rounds. idiot
