Gina Carano Pulled from EliteXC Fight Card

Gina Carano (Crush to American Gladiators fans), currently the most popular female fighter in MMA, has remover herself from Elite Xtreme Combat’s February show.

EliteXC announced earlier that Carano would face an unnamed opponent at the Feb. 16 EliteXC show that will take place at the University of Miami’s BankUnited Arena. The event will be brodcast by Showtime and is headlined by a heavyweight bout between Tank Abbott and Kimbo Slice.

The reason for her removal from the fight card has yet been named by either Carano or a representative for EliteXC.

I seriously hope she doesnt throw away her fighting for American Gladiators… that show is going to last maybe 2 seasons at best…

That show is a joke, just like Wrestling. It’s funny because she always puts people in the guard… but money talks. She’s probally making a lot more as a gladiator, especially with the endorsements, calendars, and all the other BS that comes with it. Tito on the apprentice, chuck on entourage, Gina the gladiator,.. whats next

she better not ditch her career in fighting for American Gladiators. i hope shes smart enough not too. she has too much talent in fighting to switch over to smacking people around with giant q-tips.

At best, Gina has 3 to 5 fights left in her? She is to pretty to fight, and can make more money doing other things (Tv, Movies). If she was smart, She would challenge Laila Ali to a boxing match. That would be big. Being unbeaten in MMA, makes her that more marketable.

if it’s a pure boxing match, leila ali would mop the floor with her, like she did to erin toughill. i want my gina’s pretty face left untouched.

but leila will never step into a cage… she is afraid to get submitted. nothing against leila. i think she is really beautiful and an excellent fighter in her own sport. but in a MMA match Gina (or any other woman fighter) will just rip one of her limbs off.
