@vonjackass: its easy to see pedro was hurt from our view(the camera view) but we dont have the refs vantage point and sometimes they cant see what 4 to 5 cameras around the ring see; but im sure since you have experience being a ref you should work there instead of him loser!

At least 3 huge power punches too late from the ref, not to mention those late shots were coming from a HW striker in Gilbert Yvel, who has some insane power! That ref should be fired without a doubt for this incident alone, but to further support my demand is the ref’s reaction/lack of in the Sapp/Lashley fight (I believe he was the same ref who worked that fight also, but not certain) as he missed the tapout and didn’t recognize it until 30 seconds later. Both fighters could have been seriously injured and I believe commissions need to start cracking down on mistakes regarding refs and judges because the last year or two it’s been getting out of hand.

That was a serious ko by Yvel. Yvel has to have some of the most dangerous power in all of mma.

The most impressive ko I’ve ever seen was Yvel ko’ing Gary Goodridge seconds into the first round back in Pride. The kick to the head and the extra loud smack that came from it was unbelievable!

bad refereeing none the less; do these ref’s even watch MMA? do they not research and know that Rizzo in his last outings just hasn’t been responding well to punches? Rizzo could of done without the last 2 strikes. These ref’s need to grow some balls and literally throw themselves in the line of fire to save the fighters, that’s their job first and foremost; to intervene when a fighters in trouble. On the other hand Rizzo shouldn’t be fighting anymore.

Its hard to tell if the ref sucked, it was easy to tell that it was a late stoppage. But I don’t know what the refs vantage point was and those shots came quick. Damn that was ugly. I don’t even enjoy fights that end that brutally.

The ref sucked, but Yvel could clearly see Rizzo was out but still hit him 5 more times, then pretended to be concerned if he was ok!? I guess we should be impressed that Yvel didn’t gouge out Pedro’s eyes with his thumbs and then punch the ref for trying to stop him though. The one douche commentator just learned that you can insult good fighters by comparing crap fighters to them by adding “ESQUE” to the end of the good fighters name.

It is easy to see how the ref, who is after all about 2 feet away from the action, can miss illegal elbows and then a couple of shots to the face after a guy is knocked out.
