Gilbert beat Jorge at his own game. I think Jorge didn’t want to get KO’d, so he stayed outside too much and played it safe. Gilbert won every round: I don’t know what Jorge’s corner was telling him, but he never had a sense of urgency in the last two rounds, after losing the first three.

I dont know why peole are saying this was a boring fight? Melendez put on a boxing clinic against Masvidal. Masvidal didnt start to utilize the jab until the third and for every one or two punches he threw Melendez was throwing three and four. Masvidal is a top fighter and was outboxed by Melendez plain and simple. He played it safe and didnt start to pick it up until the last 30 seconds of the fight. Props to the champ i hope he comes to the UFC real soon.

WOW! really Gil? like Dana’s going to move some guys over to challenge him, maybe the guys that lose 2 or 3 in a row, but not top lightweights, and the only reason the Fertitta’s & Dana haven’t folded the organization is because of relationship with Showtime and of course the $$$, and Dana can keep his promise of no womens MMA in the UFC but reap the rewards of them in Strikeforce!

Gilbert conducted himself nicely, Masvidal didn’t look like himself, never had the champ in deep trouble and you don’t get to the top of the mountain giving 50%.

Masdival looked 10X slower than he did against Noons… he had the crisper punching and superior power so not sure why he didnt take more chances… and his leg kicks were wearing Gil out but then he stopped… silly gameplan.
