Always entertaining. Log in to Reply Benny October 20, 2013 That was an absolute WAR!!! Diego is a warrior! That was insane, fight of the night right there!!! Disagree with Diego saying he won,not a Gilbert fan but he won, what a scrap!!! Log in to Reply bispings mum October 20, 2013 what a fu*king fight. thanks bruno Log in to Reply Yomommamoto Norifumi October 20, 2013 Hellz yeah. BANGAZ. I wanna see either of dem dudes against: McDonald Ellenberger Hendricks Lawler Lombard GSP GSP could learn a thing or 2 about putting on a fight from these 2. I doubt if that kind of hurricane had happened McDonald or GSP would have been able to hang for long, Hendricks, Lawler, Lombard and Ellenberger might of dropped one of them or got dropped too tho. Log in to Reply Facefrack October 20, 2013 That was a BARNBURNER for the Ages!!!! When Gilbert said that the best compliment he ever received was “that’s the best fight I’ve ever seen”… Damn, we all just witnessed something amazing. Diego will likely never be champ, but – and I’m being for real here – maybe having the highest number of fight-of-the-night honors should be the highest honor in the sport. I’d love for Diego Sanchez to go into the Hall of Fame for that. (I don’t actually know he has the most, but man does he go to war!) Log in to Reply akmd1143 October 20, 2013 Yamommato, all those fighters you mentioned are welterweight, Gilbert Melendez and Diego were fighting at lightweight. Log in to Reply Axe Murderer October 20, 2013 Diego reminds me of Wandy in is prime, no problem standing in the pocket and swinging for the fences. Log in to Reply casyboy October 20, 2013 best ufc fight of all time, #2 bonnar griffin ,#3 jones gus,#4 hendo shogun Log in to Reply OscarMayhem October 20, 2013 No way, Diego wins a five round fight against Gilbert. Love Diego, but he was outclassed until the uppercut. Log in to Reply YouGonGetGot October 20, 2013 Definitely one of the greatest fights i’ve ever watched. Diego definitely deserves a spot in the HOF one day. The guy never puts on a boring fight, and he may have lost this decision(which i think he won personally). But man he’s a ****in’ monster. That’s the kind of fighting people like to see. Pound your chest, take a punch & throw one right back in return. Much respect Sanchez. Log in to Reply Pooly October 20, 2013 @Yomommamoto those were ALL welterweights you mentioned, not lightweights….you’d think by stealing a famous fighter’s name like you did you would know a thing or two, guess not though Log in to Reply bigbob October 20, 2013 diego needs to improve his skills solid chin and rock em sock em doesnt cut it ,if diego doesnt land that uppercut no one talks about this i have scored it 10-8 10-9 9-9 good scrap thats all Log in to Reply Not Anonymous October 21, 2013 That is the UFC that I started watching in ’96! Two warriors forsaking records and throwing down ape style.I respect that so much more than the pawing, lay and pray style, and I can finally say that I like Sanchez, even though he talks like slingblade. Bruno, had to catch this on another site cause this video was offline. Respect for the hours u put in tracking and keeping these fights online for us. Beast! Get some sleep. Bruno:Fixed for now. I have to update the vids every hour. I try to keep up but I do have to sleep sometimes. Log in to Reply High Stakes October 21, 2013 @Yomommamoto Norifumi are you kidding me ? I wont even start with you kid?? GSP could learn from these 2 NO THESE TWO COULD LEARN FROM GSP HOW TO BECOME AMONG THE GREATEST EVER???? gsp doesn’t need help learning from meatheads who just swing away all fight…. I don’t see how it was THAT great of a fight?? in my opinion gil destroyed him every round and the fact that they were swinging mindlessly like monkeys doesn’t make it the greatest fight ever!!?? no technique just swinging for the fences.not disrespecting either fighter just didn’t think it was among the greatest fights ever? Log in to Reply Agent002 October 21, 2013 ****in WOW! Just an out of your seat fight! This is HEART! both fighters just amazing… Log in to Reply danada October 22, 2013 Love these guys. I love Diego’s heart and I love his style. He’s probably the only entertaining Greg Jackson fighter hahahhaa. The reason Sanchez lost is because his head movement has always been pretty bad. You can tell Melendez trains with boxers in Cesars camp. When you look at the wild exchanges throughout the fight Melendez was usually getting hit by next to none of the punches. He would move his head then throw, while Diego was just standing there and throwing with all his might. Most of the extended exchanges went to Gil, except for the second last one with that crazy uppercut and the very last one when they were both getting tagged. I think Diego’s grappling is getting even better. When he threw that elbow while bent over and then reversed the position those were some nice moves. Superb fight.
