Shirk’s a good fighter, I just think that he’s undersized in this fight. Against other fighters he might prevail but not against GSP. Awesome fighter with the size advantage. I think UFC should start putting together intermediate weight classes such as junior welterweight and super welterweight to even fights more.

i think that was the most vicious GNP i’ve ever seen. and since it was against a GNP artist, it makes it that much better.
Since a lot of people have talked about a. silva vs. gsp lately, i was thinking about it as i watched this fight. what i seemed to notice is GSP is a very methodical fighter. He hits you with one thing, steps back, hits you with another thing, steps back and sees how it works, then another wave, so on and so forth. A silva flows more as a fighter, and counters attacks much more. just my onservation

Give credit where credit is due, Serra is the champ right now and he beat GSP straight up. However, I think if they fight 10 times GSP wins 8 or 9 of them.

Poor stumpy sherk haha . . .got smashed pretty bad. Why was he trying to fight back from his back though???? Very bad ground game, think BJ is going to do the same at 84 can’t wait. As for GSP v Silva I honestly dont think he is in Silva’s league (at the moment but he is 7 years younger so loads of time to improve) cant wait to see him fight serra though should be interesting.

Sherk is very one dimensional, BJ Penn is going to murder him. I would love to see GSP vs Silva. X2, I agree, GSP is very methodical. The thing about Silva however, is his ability to continually step up the pace. In both Franklin fights, Rich would take it up a notch, Silva would take it up two notches, til Rich just couldn’t hang. Same with Hendo; Dan won the first round no question, but Silva just kept grabbin gears until he left Dan in the dust. But I’ve never seen anyone out run Rush. (though he has been KO’d and submitted which are both abilities Anderson posseses)

Sherk is juiced for this fight and still had no answer for GSP’s takedowns. St Pierre had Sherks shot attempts stuffed every time. This guy is a MACHINE. 7 Canucks on the Montreal card. Anyone that’s live at this event is in for a treat for Doerksen-Macdonald….. two Canadian lads both solid solid fighters. Definetly a money maker for ZUFFA lighting it up with the Canadian content…. good on ya!! GSP has Serra covered no doubt, I’ve been watching this kid kill it in Muay Thai circles for enough time now. Solid knees, great accuracy and he’s like a godamn mongoose, look to see him come out BLAZING. Stout-Clementi should be pretty interesting with both of them talking about coming out and standing up.
