Nice vid. GSP will probably win, but he’ll just play it safe and grind out another boring fight. At least they’re putting ND in front of him, and Nick will push the action for an exciting fight, even if it means losing.

slamer81 Says, in 7-5-2011 at 09:23:04 from

this will be GSP’s toughest tests. we going to get it on, cause we don’t get along.

Boomer Says, in 7-5-2011 at 09:24:58 from

Diaz is good but I think he is not yet ready for GSP. I guess they had none else to fight him.
I see this one going to 3rd round GSP by submission.

Jimmyvie Says, in 7-5-2011 at 09:30:54 from

GSP by doctor stoppage cut to cuts to Diaz face. He cuts to easily.

oaklandblackouts Says, in 7-5-2011 at 09:31:49 from

big up on the trailer whoever made it – you can bet i’m hyped for this one, with or without a trailer.

ericr64 Says, in 7-5-2011 at 10:02:24 from

Diaz has a fighter’s mind and spirit and is a tough cookie. George will overwhelm him. This will be a great fight because Diaz will not take “lose” for an answer.

Benjamin Says, in 7-5-2011 at 10:08:10 from

Submitting a Cesar Gracie BB thats never been submitted? Maybe, but I’ll believe it if and when it actually happens. I agree with Jimmy. Foot movement and clean outside boxing will have Nicks scar-ridden face in ribbons by the end of the third. The only problem is that in order to get his shots in, GSP is gonna have to eat about 50 or 60 heavy pats to the head to get it done. I can honestly say I don’t know who will win. (Barring a GSP wrestlefucking victory. Please no.)

simontheninja Says, in 7-5-2011 at 10:37:32 from

cant f****** wait!! props to whoever made the video

oz Says, in 7-5-2011 at 11:45:54 from

This is another no brainer GSP is gonna own him as usual but i am still more excited for this fight than his last couple.

ironjaw Says, in 7-5-2011 at 11:57:18 from

Nicktheface is the s***. period

pit lover Says, in 7-5-2011 at 12:51:52 from

I hope Diaz’s scar tissue isn’t an issue.
I hope GSP avoids the control top game.

I think the argument of stoppage from cuts is a strong argument. aside from that or wrestlefucking, I think it’s a close match possibly.

we’ll all watch it, and enjoy the time doing so.
that’s what’s most important.

mirfan Says, in 7-5-2011 at 13:46:15 from

im so glad they are fighting. diaz is one of my favorites and he’s the only worthy opponent for st pierre right now. shields had NO business being in the cage with him, he has good jiu jitsu but his stand up is about as good as shinya aoki’s

glenn Says, in 7-5-2011 at 13:55:18 from

yes gsp did improve his stand up especialy his boxing skill, but his wrestling is gonna be the X factor in this fight,it can be a very eazy fight 4 george to win if nick diaz come with a very lazy take down defence,we all know that gsp has fought allot of good fighter that has better stand up than his and what did he do against them?? pick his spot then go 4 the takedown ,i think the same is gonna happend here,on the other hand what can we say about diaz he got allot of hart hes not affraid 2 trade shot hes got an iron chin also, should be a good fight cant wait

Ozinator Says, in 7-5-2011 at 14:58:03 from

video implies GSP is talking s*** to Diaz. Was that Kosh he actually said that about?

thefamousetriangle Says, in 7-5-2011 at 16:03:50 from

@boomer nick diaz has way better bjj than gsp and dont say hes gonna win or submit him we dont know whats going to happen.

GSP via decision, then bring on Carlos Condit!!

GSP is Gun shy now it’s to bad

PitFighterZ Says, in 7-5-2011 at 16:57:54 from

This will be a great fight, but I can’t wait for Diaz v. Condit. I don’t care if it is for the belt or for the f*ck of it.
I agree that, based on what we have seen lately, GSP will not engage Diaz on the ground. He might use TDs to score and control, but he will not fight there. He will more likely use leg kicks and jabs to frustrate Diaz and open his face. However, let’s not forget that GSP also bleeds easily and almost lost his first fight against BJ on the jab match.

retro_spiff Says, in 7-5-2011 at 17:20:52 from

Nick will probably sustain cuts from GSP’s ground and pound. If the cuts dont stop the fight I see it going all 5 rounds where Nick will raise his arms in protest and exhibit classic butthurt. However I hope I am very wrong, we need a new champ. GSP seems to have taken after Tim Sylvia’s style of ‘fight to win’.

filo561 Says, in 7-5-2011 at 17:27:31 from

gsp submitting nick is a funny one.im all for nick on this 1.1st ever to hold both titles in ufc and strikeforce simultaneously.and the dr. stoppage due to cuts is a big possibility and gsp might actually exploit it.hope im wrong bout that tho.war diaz

Shinka Martial Arts Richmond Says, in 7-5-2011 at 17:38:28 from

Should be fun. GSP could fight Joe Rogan and I’d still watch it.

ETK Says, in 7-5-2011 at 18:53:26 from

2 great fighters
I like them both
Doesn’t matter to me who wins or who loses

Sweetlander Says, in 7-5-2011 at 19:10:17 from

GSp is simply on another level no matter what the hype or what you might think is. Diaz is quite capable of winning but it’s unlikely. GSP will eventually be famous and/or infamous for his ability to shut down and dominate fighters in the way he does. He will most certainly be too strong and have more gas in the tank. Next!

marvelous mad madam mim Says, in 7-5-2011 at 19:16:56 from

GSP will lose. There is no way for GSP to win other than a boring ass decision and that will not happen against Diaz. Diaz is a beast, just look at what he did to Daley. No way in hell GSP could do that to Daley.

fighter27 Says, in 7-5-2011 at 19:19:39 from

gsp by lay & pray!!!

Rear Naked Smoke AKA Hands of Stoned Says, in 7-5-2011 at 19:42:16 from

I love Nick Diaz. And I love the fact that he’s gonna for sure bring the fight to Georges. With that said, George is gonna smash this guy just like everyone else.
GSP won’t like getting peppered, so he’ll take it to the ground. He won’t like Nick attacking off his back, so he’ll bring it back up. At that point, he’ll either takedown, get up, repeat, for the remainder of the fight, or just jab him til he cuts open. If we’re lucky, Georges will finally finish a fight. By cuts.

Also, where you at, R.J.? You haven’t left us, have you? Get yo Canadian ass back here, I got some fresh GSP is gay jokes waiting for you. Come on, bro. It’s no fun makin’ em to people who aren’t gonna get offended and take it personally…..

tobes Says, in 7-5-2011 at 20:48:03 from

That was an awesome video, well edited, composed, probably better than whatever the UFC will produce to hype the fight

kingtoma360 Says, in 7-5-2011 at 21:07:34 from

Diaz going to shock the world homiez. my prediction is gsp takes him to the grownd and nick breaks that arm hommie. new champ n his names nick diaz.

robj4y Says, in 7-5-2011 at 21:57:26 from

DIAZ : ARMBAR !! haha . just cos it would be amazing .

gsp too good sometimes lets hope for a freshen up .

milojustlaxin Says, in 7-5-2011 at 23:26:00 from

this trailer got me pretty hyped to watch this fight but i think an even more interesting and entertaining fight would be condit/diaz…they are both finishers and both always put on a sick show…i used to love gsp but he has just beensuch a boring fighter the past couple years….dominating and absolutely impressive but boring…

Shogun-Rampage 2 Says, in 7-6-2011 at 01:57:15 from

why will this be GSPs biggest test? i want Diaz to win so bad, but hes getting pumped up to much, everyone seems to forget he has no wrestling takedowns or takedown defense, and off his back probly wont be as athletic or just strong enough to pull of a submisson and he cuts easier then anyone in mma, hell get put down on his back and smashed till a doctor stops it from his eyes pouring everywhere

ness2k Says, in 7-6-2011 at 06:20:35 from

GSP is gonna have to fight. Nick is gonna be in his face all night. This should be a great fight!

Wrestling will take the day. I love this fight, but GSP is too smart and too complete a fighter to lose this.

Nman7 Says, in 7-6-2011 at 13:41:47 from

man all these people say diaz gona get tapped out LOL! or gona feel the wrestling pressure of gsp LOL! dude iv been in this sport since the start ill tell you one thing gsp might lose this one from diaz stand up pressure and if he gets a take down diaz bjj by far is one of the best in mma so who ever says this is a one side fight like most you clowns u no nothing and shouldnt be on this website leave mma please

Nman7 Says, in 7-6-2011 at 13:44:40 from

oh not to mention if you watch his last 2 fights his stand up is not a good as we all thought when he pumps jabs over and over to the over hand ugly chuck right? lOL! come on now to a spinning back punch or kick no left hooks no uper cuts got to be more versatile against somene who has seen it all and has a professional boxing record

drizzle shizzle Says, in 7-6-2011 at 16:19:13 from

Gsp chooses to box-not brawl, not trade but box, he is good at all aspects but doesnt have the real street fighter’s aptitude for trading and staying in the pocket…which Nick diaz has. Plane an simple watch for Gsp throw 1 or 2 punch combos then either move at an angle or go for the takedown, but since Diaz doesn’t over extend and keeps coming foward, getting away will be hard so GSp would have to shoot.

asdfasdf Says, in 7-6-2011 at 19:13:40 from

Has anyone considered the mental factor nick might have over george in the cage? if something goes wrong for george and nick is able to frustrate and demoralize george by taunts it could play in his favor. We all know george can break…hes done it in the past

Chemosux Says, in 7-6-2011 at 19:29:32 from

This might be a good fight for about a min. until Diaz realizes he’s in over his head. Too slow for GSP and no where near as strong! Georges opponents all talk a big game until they’re in the ring and reality sets in and the game plan goes out the window and they just fight to survive. As boring as GSP is to watch fight, he gets the job done and makes you look like an amateur.

Rear Naked Smoke AKA Hands of Stoned Says, in 7-6-2011 at 22:21:10 from

@asdf. I absolutely did, in a previous post about a month ago. Quick recap: Only way GSP loses is mental. Serra beat him when George was stressed about a family situation. Georges, with a clear head, smashed Serra. And the Hughes loss was pure intimidation. George got over the mental intimidation, and beat him soundly. Twice.
Diaz has a window now, to make this personal. Make George lose sleep, thinking a straight-up THUG is coming to rough him up. Make him think that this one is gonna hurt. Then, during the fight, call him a bitch every few seconds. The mental game is the only way to beat this guy.

Rear Naked Smoke AKA Hands of Stoned Says, in 7-6-2011 at 22:26:42 from

M**********r! I forgot the “S” on Georges. Three times, no less. Please forgive me for my sub-par grammar.
I think Smoke might be slippin’….

Corey Says, in 7-7-2011 at 04:59:27 from

Absolutely love my boy diaz. Always have always will. His tactics most likely wont work with GSP. Gsp will ABSOLUTELY not even attempt to stand a box with diaz. He isnt going to go for kicks, he isnt going to try and pump the jab over and over. He’s going to fight Diaz exactly how he fights BJ Penn. He’s going to use his ridiculous strength and perfect wrestling technique to shoot in, take him to the ground, and he’s going to grind a boring ass victory, and the nuthuggers will say “GSP is the greatest!” And everyone else will say, god damn he’s a boring fighter.

Corey Says, in 7-7-2011 at 05:02:45 from

The comment about more gas in the tank is hilarious though. Diaz constantly performs triathlons. No one has better cardio than diaz in his weight division.
