This is Georges St. Pierre vs Matt Serra Fight Video UFC 69 Knockout

A very quick but highly entertaining fight between the new sheriff in town and an older fight veteran. Matt Serra got this championship fight by winning the last TUF Reality show. St. Pierre at the time was the 170 pound champ.

A Technical Knock Out comes at 3:25 in the 1st round by punches.

Both Matt and st.Piere are very good fighters. Matt got the better of him this time, but I think he got a little lucky with his punch. st.Piers stand-up game is usually very impressive, and the fact that he has a huge reach advantage makes it even harder to beat him standing.
Very good job from Matt, but it was a little lucky, though he finished the fight perfectly, didn’t get to cocky, picked the right spots to punch him down etc.
I had hoped for a beautiful BJJ fight, but maybe next time then

By the way, I hope Matt Serra kicks Matt Hughes ass at the end of the Ultimate Fighter season. I think on some points Serra trains his fighters better than Matt Hughes. Hughes WAS an amazing fighter, and like he said he only has a couple of fights in him. I don’t like his cocky character either, I remember how he treated his fighters in the first season he was a coach.

i don’t like to call any punch lucky. when you throw a punch your intention for it is to land. serra’s landed and caught gsp perfectly. still, gsp is definetly the better fighter; everyone gets caught sometime.
i hope serra wins against hughes that will prove to everyone that he definetly deserves to be at the top. hughes has little stand up, serra’s proven his got power in hands, so i think this could be a good grappling match.

this fight was rigged. St Pierres’ acting job near the end just wasn’t good enough. Who goes down like he’s hurt but then gets right back up then goes down then gets up then goes down? If you ask me, that last 30 seconds of the fight looked really suspicious. Go watch the post fight interview with St Pierre and you tell me that he isn’t a little embarrassed about throwing that fight. None of his answers made any sense.

maybe I’m a little late on reading this, but FIXED? Dude got rocked, plain and simple…These fighters train too fucking hard and have too much pride to throw a fight…By the way, I’ve seen some of Serra’s grappling matches from like 5 years ago and hes no fucking joke…No matter how bad you are, you CAN get knocked out!

matt serra is 350 on losing to st pierre in ufc 83… im going to take a risk and bet $100 on serra to win again. every fighter hits that wall, for chuck its rampage and for st pierre as incredible as he is… it just might be matt serra. dont be suprised if serra beats him again.

Also, if you look, punches and head kicks by st pierre were pulled. Each one of them. His acting job at the end was terrible too. Rigged. If only i knew they were gonna pull this one i wouldve bet and won huge money.

I’m no expert as I can tell none of you are either but to say pierre fixed the fight based on your expertiese in psychology and the post show interview?? GET REAL! What? did you loose money on this fight? matt landed a solid punch and he is known for having heavy hands. I agree you probably haven’t been in fight and have no idea what it’s like to try and function after taking a blow.
