After losing his title to Matt Serra in the upset of the century, Georges St-Pierre came roaring back with a fire rarely seen in the Octagon. Finally getting his chance at redemption, GSP got his rematch against Matt Serra at UFC 83.
For the definition of “A puncher’s chance”, see fight #1.
i would not call it a punchers chance. just gsp had a better chance winning like that. witch says a whole lot for serra specially when he gives up height and reach. its like saying this fight is the definition of ‘a good top game control conservative ground and pound chance’. imo the only way matt was lucky the first fight was gsp stood and banged with him. he was not so lucky the second fight. guess you could say george was lucky that matt tried to engage and fight making it a lot easier for gsp to take him down. can you say RE tarr D……….
With a belt on the line, that was a little early stoppage.
The little guy beat his butt legitimately the first time and the second the little guy did some good things too but gsp proved to be too much this night.I think serra still could contend with top 10 fighters. On the ground i noticed some things serra did that i think only a smaller person could do.Short and tall have advantages but it really just depends on the person.//rt
pretty sure GSP lost his father like a couple days before the first fight, and so he was in a weird place. But yeah, imagine Condit has a chance. It’s not like GSP hasn’t dominated every single round of every opponent after that first Serra fight. Look at the facts, not what you want to believe, that makes you a sucker
