Lots of idiots talking about GSP cutting the running man. The cut was from one elbow, not a series of blows. GSP is always moving in the guard, and that’s why he doesn’t get stood up, but he isn’t doing damage. You talk about his strikes, but he doesn’t have any. He’s never shown outstanding striking. The only time he did stand with a guy for most of the fight was when he jabbed Krotcheck to death. No other strikes, just white belt jabs.

The reason people hate him is because he isn’t fighting for entertainment, he is sparring to do nothing but out point his opponent and run away with the belt.

Matt Hughes fought for the title 13 times. Of those 13 title fights, he had one single decision. He finished 9 fights, and he was finished in the other 3. That is why people like him. He was an exciting fighter who always put on a show, win or lose.

GSP has fought for the title 13 times. Of those 13 fights, he has 7 decision wins. He finished 3 fights. One fight was stopped by the corner, not by GSP. He was finished the other 2. His last finish was 5 years ago. That marked his last exciting fight, the rest have been Greg Jackson’s slow and steady(read; BORING) technique that ensures he keeps the belt without taking any risks.

first of all,it seems that most of the people who comment here should be moving on from mma to boxing or kickboxing, you obviously have no understanding of MIXED martial arts.second,watch the Gracie breakdown.third,GSP breaks guys,and it continues long after they fight him.he truly smashes careers.how long did he lay on kosheck(2nd fight) or shields.he out kick-boxed alves. For the most part he goes in and beats guys where they are weak(their fault not his)he is brilliant in the cage.it pisses me off so much when people don’t look at the other guy and say,he’s in a title fight he should be complete enough to get off/work off his back(remember even when he doesn’t finish,guys they don’t finish him).This is mma. How about Condit vs.Diaz. Condit ran. Umm…let me see… adjust your game-plan and cut the cage off.key word adjust.by the way Condit must be a magician to leave Diaz’ face looking like that when he never engaged.Diaz is a disrespectful,sore loser who cried about a legit loss, Stockton rules his face looked more damaged=he lost.accept your own ideas.call people a bitch while actually being one,keep backing that.Its not a fighters job to give opponents what they want,its actually quite the opposite.21 guys coudn’t finish georges what’s their excuse.

Don’t be a fool. It has nothing to do with the fact that GSP is Canadian. It has everything to do with the fact that he doesn’t want to fight. He wants to point spar and win decisions, not fight.

Why don’t you STFU T’Challa. Yeah Canada is right there with Brazil! haha. It has nothing to so with what country you are from and I see a LOT of GSP fans on here and we are not Canadians. Some people (from all countries) are just idiots. Apparently they missed the vicious elbows that ripped up Condit’s head and face and the awesome punch that opened his nose. Not to mention surviving and thriving after a brutal kick to the head. If you did not enjoy that fight, MMA is not for you.

I think it’s funny that people say that GSP does nothing but lay on top. Tell that to the gallon and a half of Condit’s blood that came of a vicious elbow while on top! It was the 2nd most damaging blow of the fight, but I guess he just lays…

I HATED Condit in the WEC. Truly couldn’t stad his attitude and his arrogance. His time in the UFC leading up to Diaz and this fight have shown a new side of him that begs respect. He has grown by leaps and bounds in both his character and his fight game. I never thought it could happen, but I’m officially a huge Carlos Condit fan. Weird…

@Tempted.. what fight were you watching? When did GSP just hold down Condit and not either throw punches, elbows, or work to improve his position.

Utter bullshit.. if GSP were American, you guys would praise him, regardless of his style of fighting. Tough luck..Canada and Brazil are taking over MMA..

Good fight. I agree with the comment ” he uses his really good wrestling to avoid exchanging. it’s not my style of fighting but have to respect the skills to take the fight where he wants when he wants.

When the majority of fans don’t like it, it isn’t entertaining. Fighters are entertainers and boring fighters aren’t doing their job. GSP doesn’t fight. Has hasn’t fought since 2007. He wrestles and smothers. He does NOT ground and pound. Ground and pound is what Randy and Hughs used to do. GSP just dry humps you for 25 minutes. Fan pays to see action, not gay p***. GSP hasn’t won a fight impressively in years, and hasn’t finished a fight in 5 years. He isn’t a finisher, and finishers are what we like to watch.
