Log in to Reply BruceLee December 16, 2012 After he beats Diaz. He better say… “This Fight is waiting to happen for a long time…” Against Silva. Log in to Reply tattooed1 December 16, 2012 Seriously, how can you not like or have the utmost respect for this guy? He is by far the most humble and honest fighter and he doesn’t try to pull the wool over anyone’s eye’s. One more thing I noticed this time around is how relaxed he seemed with the media. I can’t recall in recent memory seeing Georges that comfortable in front of the mics. I really think he has a lot left to show the world of mma and I think the fight with Diaz is going to earn him even more fans via his performance. WAR GSP!!!!! Log in to Reply danny December 16, 2012 **** Johnny Henrdicks… no on wants to see that fight. Nick vs GSP will be awesome. Poor little Johnny will have to wait his turn. There are plenty of other fights to take. Like GSP said i dont think he even breat Kos and got very lucky vs Fitch. Log in to Reply Stock-DONE December 16, 2012 I can’t wait to see GSP drive his elbow through Nick 2-0-Whine’s jaw! Georges is gonna slow roast Diaz for 25 minutes with punches, kicks, td’s, n g n p. Get ready to lose your Jesus 2-0-Whine Nation! Log in to Reply ZW December 16, 2012 In a perfect world fans would see GSP fight Diaz in the first part of 2013, and then Hendricks in the middle part of the year, and Silva at the end of the year, which is when AS wants to fight. But i just remembered this isn’t a perfect world. Diaz could still screw this one up. Log in to Reply pourmis December 16, 2012 if there is any body that deserves the success it’s got to be him. the guy is a true ambassador for the sport and a great human being. who gives a **** about the hendriks fight no one wants to see that happen, gsp has proven so many times against scarry guys at this stage of his career he shouldn’t have to justify the choices he makes. He should only take superfights with a lot of money at stake. And the anderson silva fight doesnt make sense at all, silva is way to big and gsp is not even a big welterweight. Silva should fight Jones at 205, stephan bonnar fought Jones and didn’t get finished when Silva knocked him out in the first round. Silva is just scared of jones ending his carriere, he knows gsp cant really hurt him whereas Jones could potentially damage him. Diaz is the right fight for gsp, money wise carrier wise and that’s what I wanna see. So war gsp ur the champ Log in to Reply Beast w/ 8 Limbs December 16, 2012 Like we don’t know what’s going to happen… Log in to Reply Yup December 16, 2012 I like his humble lines about Rampage, Jones Jr., and Anderson Silva. However, I think he’s wrong about not having that athleticism. He’s one of the best pure athletes I’ve ever seen in any sport. Log in to Reply MMAgiantsilva December 16, 2012 GSP is right and I agree with him on the premise that Condit beat Diaz in a close fight and Koshcheck beat Hendricks in a robbery. Log in to Reply anakonda December 16, 2012 Hendricks vs. Condit will be more interesting than any GSP fight.. Log in to Reply mmafan11 December 16, 2012 Silva vs GSP is a bad fight Silva would destroy GSP. Make Silva vs Jon Jones the fight most want to see. Log in to Reply Jack December 16, 2012 Mark my word! Diaz by ko or sub. GSP should have took Hendricks for next fight. Ground and prey is not going to be effective on Nick Diaz,so GSP will be in for a rude awakening. Log in to Reply DavidJones December 16, 2012 GSP is scared of silva he wont fight him maybe after he broke silvas records for consequtive wins and title defense. GSP is no fighter, but hes going to beat diaz easily, he wont stand in front of diaz punches. Log in to Reply bareknuckels December 16, 2012 Damn…. GSP is a smart mother ****er… this guy knows what the fans want to see, and he is ready to put on the show. I agree that although Diaz did loose to condit by a close decision but this seems like the perfect time for GSP and Diaz to fight. That reporter who keeps bringing up Hendricks is a ****ing retard….Get over it hater… GSP wants to fight Diaz… More people want so see that. Log in to Reply TrueMMAFan December 16, 2012 @tattooed1, You posed the question. Here is the retort. GSP is a coward. His alibi on gaining weight for a super fight is pusillanimous. History in sports has shown everyone has cut or gained weight at some point to obtain competitiveness/champion status. Overall, to step out of a comfort zone and reach new goals. It’s part of athletics. St. ***** is taking the untroublesome fight/payday in Diaz. The fight will be lackluster as he will employ a Kos/Condit strategy. A Jab to keep Nick at bay, typical lay and pray alongside his “greasy” skin. Diaz does not have the strength (as he is a natural/non PED fighter,) to complete with Georges on the ground. Much like his brother in the Henderson match. In regards to respect, he has none. Recall back when Phil Nurse applied Vaseline to his body, St. Pierre never once took responsibility. He had the audacity not even to show up to his hearing with the A.C. because he didn’t have to?!?!? This French Fry is overrated and has been proven a cheat! Honestly, a foolish comment believing he’s an actual champion shows your lack of understanding. Log in to Reply booger December 16, 2012 I am a big fan of GSP. However, Hendricks deserves this title shot, not Diaz, who is coming off a loss. GSP is ducking Hendricks. Log in to Reply fightdontbefake December 16, 2012 Diaz does have a great ground game, but he by far no wrestler…the only way I see Diaz winning is by sub, and that won’t be easy..but I’ll be watching. Log in to Reply TheKungFuLowKick December 16, 2012 Here’s the reaction of a cusual MMA fan learning about Diaz vs GSP: “Nice,it’s been years since they should fight.” Here’s the reaction of a cusual MMA fan learning about Hendricks vs GSP : “Jimmy Hendricks??Isn’t that a guitar player?” Hendricks is good but he won’t land those wild haymaykers on GSP.And like GSP said the Koscheck fight wasn’t really a decisive win,Kampmann is a good fighter but he wasn’t a n.1 contender and Fitch will never get another title shot because he’s boring and people would rather change channel then watch him fight. So beating Fitch won’t get you a n.1 contender spot.Let Hendricks fight another top 5 guy and let’s see if he looks impressive again. Log in to Reply TheKungFuLowKick December 16, 2012 casual* Log in to Reply shitface December 16, 2012 Diaz will win by head kick. Log in to Reply Tempted December 16, 2012 GSP is an honest person and a great athlete. He is even an exciting fighter. The reason he is so boring is Greg Jackson. Back when GSP was out to impress people he put on some of the best wars in the WW division. After he got the belt he took Greg Jackson’s safe point sparring approach and lost a ton of fans, myself included. Nick is the #1 contender, he has been for 2 years. Condit didn’t beat Nick in a fight, he beat him at point sparring. If none of you have ever participated in a karate style tournament, after each strike landed the match is stopped and the point awarded. Very boring, but exactly how Condit fought Diaz. Earn a point then stop the fight. GSP vs Diaz is the only fight GSP should take. If Silva can make 170, take it. But if GSP has to go to 185 it will be far from a “superfight”. It’ll be GSP’s head touching Silva’s manhood about 1,000 times as he goes in for the shot, but is stopped because of the size and strength difference. Silva vs Bones @ 205 GSP vs Diaz Hendricks vs Condit(as long as Condit fights) Nelson vs HW Champ(Cain or JDS) Edgar vs Faber @ 145 Edwards vs Franca II(because Franca was robbed) That is a card I’d pay $100 for and be happy. But I’d also kill to see: Hendo vs Bones Wandi vs Nick Diaz @ 180 catch weight Hendo vs A Silva II A Silva vs Le Shogun vs Franklin retirement bout Log in to Reply Dan Blankenship December 16, 2012 Diaz is going down! GSP is better than whoever you support, unless it’s Anderson Silva.. Log in to Reply DavidJones December 16, 2012 ^^TrueMMAFan ur absolutely right , gsp is a chicken and not a fighter, hes just a great athlete, so he should go compete in the olympics, UFC should be for fighters, and GSP cut down weight from 200 whatt the **** is his problem fighting at 177.5 or 175 even silv agreed on, he only wants to fight an old, dehydrated silva, cause he might have a shot to win, not to hurt silva, but to win. no to mention silva can easily retire GSP, he can put more damage in one shiot than GSP got his entire BS carrer. SILVA is the king of MMA and martial arts, he proves that martial arts work, without being a super athlete with a game plan. hes the man. Log in to Reply anderson cheats December 16, 2012 G.S.P is no more scared to fight anderson as anderson is scared to fight Jon Jones! Log in to Reply Poopiestick December 16, 2012 That was a great interview. Man, I agree with him on everything. Diaz is the fight, too. I can’t wait to see that. Log in to Reply Mag December 16, 2012 Great interview. I really hope Georges has an attempt at gaining weight for a catch weight at 177 or so vs Anderson. After Diaz, make a run at 185 and have the catch weight fight with Anderson in between. Log in to Reply icolater December 16, 2012 I think george is a beast I trained with him for a couple of years as a boxing sparing partner, but I trained with joe calzaghe as well and there is a big diff against a mma boxer and a real boxer, joe would schoooooool george, but nick diaz I think from watching his fights has a simular style to calzaghe which IMO is the best modern style of boxing esp in mma, so for me as a boxing trainer and 5 year pro, Diaz has the best boxing ( with no foot work) in mma, So for me If it stays standing nick will run george down and if it go to ground nick has a very good sub chance but george will prob pound and bore nick to a UD. Log in to Reply Joe Dog December 17, 2012 Diaz will loose by urinalysis. Log in to Reply biaaa December 17, 2012 gsp is nervous fightin anderson and/or hendrix. diaz most defntly doesn’t deserve the fihgt over hendrix. BUT…. diaz is a bigger draw then hendrix plus diaz is a safer fight than both anderson and hendrix. he can win this fight, then fight hendrix and maybe win, then fihgt anderson and get clowned. Diaz could win but the chances are way lower than both hendrix and anderson. dont believe me? check out the betting odds on all these fights.. guarenteeeee betting odds will be in higher favor for gsp against diaz than gsp vs hendrix and even worse for gsp vs anderson Log in to Reply paddedummy December 17, 2012 Incredible how fast a busted up face heals, I wonder if he is wearing that hat because he still has a bruise on the forehead from Condit’s shin though. If Diaz can piss clean before the fight he will make enough $$$$ to smoke all the bud he can inhale for the rest of his life! Log in to Reply Dave December 17, 2012 I don’t wanna see ****ing herdricks fight GSP vs Diaz is way better, wtf is with that annoying reporter that doesn’t stop talking about hendrics, who the **** cares no one wants to see hendrics vs gsp but almost everyone would like to see GSP vs Diaz. in my opinion hendrics doesn’t deserve the shot just yet, he needs to showcase more. Log in to Reply Iron_Cobra December 17, 2012 Trumma is an idiot. There’s no way any person could be a champ this long if they were a cheater. I hate ppl that don’t recognize talent. Trumma didn’t go into too much detail with the Ben/diaz fight bc it’s very similar fight as gsp/diaz. I’m a big diaz brothers fan. Exciting fights are put on by both brothers. Log in to Reply failsonnen December 17, 2012 Hendricks should get the fight with Diaz. People can hate on him but the point is this passing over people stuff isn’t helping the UFC’s credibility at all Log in to Reply c Hill December 18, 2012 Hate to spoil it for everyone. but gsp will beat everyone except for anderson silva… Biggest challenges for GSP would be hedrix and even more so mcdonald. but he wont fight rory or so they say.. GSP is not the greatest striker. He is the greatest grappler and ground controller and take down artist.
