GSP’s Tests His ACL Injury By Getting A Run In.
I’m surprised GSP has such good muscle tone and size so soon after returning to real training with the joint. It looks like he has great trainers; his program looks… fun, frankly ![]()
You know who that guy is?

New Top of the Line Rehab/Training Facility by a guy who knows his s***
he says he does not lift weights,me no thinky good idea.there has to be a little weight training to keep that strength.
I’m hoping he comes back more hungrier than ever and get that excitement back from his fights. He’s been squeezing out 5 rounders for too long and that’s boring.
Looks like some people are in trouble hahaha!!!
ya it looks like he never lost any mass. I think what makes him so successful is that he incorporates training from all diff types of sports.
@greengiant: you can keep that strenght with bodyweight exercises like the handstand push up he did in the video.
he looks like hes ready,lets see how he react when they kick him a couple of time in he knee aera,i imagine condict throw a couple of low leg kick “ala jone kick rampage in his knee a couple of time” i wish all the best
what most people don’t realize is that grappling strength is a lot different from gym strength. A lot of really yoked up guys walk in an mma gym and just get whooped day after day and I’m not only talking about technique, they get thrown around. It’s a whole different ball game. If you watched GSP workout videos before, he very rarely uses heavy weights.
@Sammy
Ya, I’ve done almost a year of Jiu Jitsu now, and while gym strength absolutely helps, smaller more seasoned grapplers can manhandle some bigger guys.
Fear the Rush……..
Things is gonna get nasty when GSP gets back!
Pumped!
@AOPrinciple
Sorry buddy, gym strength don’t “absolutely help”..
I’ve done weights and plyo exercises and let me tell you. Guys who can bench press 300lbs+ can’t do 20 min of “strength” plyo. Their muscles don’t last that long bc of no endurance
Try doing Insanity Asylum by Shaun T
He looks about 7-10lbs lighter. He’s probably around 184 right now.
As far as the weight training, he won’t lose much strength at all as long as he keeps doing his calisthenics and plyometrics.
Weight training is great for building strength and muscle, but Georges is only trying to maintain what he has while rehabs his leg. Any added muscle would make it harder on his knee.
Oddly, sprinting has nothing to do with the acl. You could sprint just fine without one.
Functional Strength vs. lifting weight strenghth. A good example would be someone who can bench press 405lbs, but cannot do 5 pullups at best. Very common, i’ve witnessed it at the gym. GSP = functional strength training exercises, but i do believe he probably lifts weights at some point, maybe not during training camps… but probably while he’s off.
you can do upper body exercises just not enough to strain the recently mended ligament
Condit is going to get run over.
I like how is trainer corrected his running form. Bad form can *uck up your feet, shins and joints.
Pure athlete
Fit dude.
psxdog…. doesn’t…not DON”T …Redneck? You are incorrect about your facts there too buddy, I will dwarf your “test” about benching 300 plus for reps and then, after that, completing anything else in the gym you can create that people can’t do…keep to trolling sites as a keyboard warrior unless you know for sure what you are talking about.
You can’t do 10 minutes of Insanity Asylum. I had a friend like you, squats half a ton and can’t do the plyo leg exercises on that dvd. Broke down after 5 minutes. DONE!
I own you
St.Louis area….What friend? What gym…I ll be there Friday. I will meet you at any gym near Clayton Rd. I will even drive to Olive street downtown..I know a couple of gyms there too. We ll see how great you are.
GH gut anybody??? Direct effects of Gh use are: pronounced increase in recovery time and ability to heal, retain muscle mass with low body fat, increased abdominal girth( bloat).
Man george got a really good doctor. I hope he doesnt push himself too hard.
@Rudio293 , Exactly! the low rep heavy weight guys who can not pull their body weight 2 times. I think he is aiming to be explosive and not a bulky wrestler who grabs you for stand ups via ref’s and cage grappling. I really do not know why MMA fighters are so 1 dimensonal in training.
whatever training gsp do condit will target and punish those legs. once torn never be the same again.
GSP has previously said that lifting weights is primarily vanity for him and that it doesn’t do anything for his fighting
I seriously think gsp is in the closet. gsp is just sooo gay!
Who is GSP? Was he a forefather of the sport??
@julian: WAT??
@ Julian, congratulations for leaving the world of WWE, all you need to know about GSP is that he is the guy who keeps beating the s*** out of every American who is stupid enough to step into a cage against him, he’s also the greatest WW champion who has ever competed in the UFC. Any questions?
@pinkelephantsmarching
Don’t even reply to theis children.He finished his message with “I own you”…You know he’s 12 when he ends his messages like that.
@FedorFailsAgain
Yeah if you consider dryhumping people for 25 minutes beating the s*** out of.
