A lot of good discussion. GSP will be more than Condit can handle in my opinion. With that said anything can happen in a fight and I’ve enjoyed Condits’ fights in WEC and UFC. Ellenberger vs Condit showed Condit can take a beating and come back. GSP will lose the tile as soon as Ellenberger is givin the chance.

It’s not that every fight should be a KO… its that every fighter should go in the cage with the intention to finish the fight. The golden rule is “never let it go to the judges” However… GSP always grinds a victory via letting it go to the judges. He wins, yes. He’s an amazing wrestler/grappler, yes. He can hang with strikers, yes. But he has no killer instinct. So he wins… and his personality doesn’t allow for him to be a “bad guy” but his fighting style doesnt make him a likeable fighter either. Like someone said up above, GSP makes the big bucks, gets the finest women, and probably doesnt give a s***. But he’s not doing the sport any favors by being one of the hardest to watch fighters, either.

GSP also broke Koscheck’s eye socket (he needed reconstructive surgery after that fight) and Fitch looked like he got dragged behind a truck. Meanwhile, GSP walked away from both fight with no visible damage.

GSP sees weaknesses and exploits them, that routine he gives about “being a martial artist” is part of that. He’s not a brawler, he’s a tactician and that’s why he’s held the belt for so long.

Also if you watched TUF the HW season you would know being an NFL player doesnt help you.There were 4 NFL “physical specimen” but do you remember who won?Right the fat guy with the huge gut.Why?Because he’s a fighter before being an athlete.Athletism can get you to a certain point but it’s all about technic.And if you take a GSP who is a physical specimen,the guy only needs like 45 seconds to get rid of his lactic acid and he has like 5% body fat,and you give him great grappling and striknig technic then you get one of the best pfp fighter in the world.

Are you trolling right now?I hope so because if not tell me wich NBA player is a good fighter?And we clearly saw NFL guys don’t do that well in MMA since they fight guys their size.Schaub is good but he was a golden gloves boxer before going in the NFL and he got KTFO by Nog who isn’t a physical specimen.He’s a fighter.And being a “physical specimen” doesnt mean s*** because you fight guys your size.

I much rather watch the diaz penn fight. GSP is boring to watch even though he is the “best” fighter. Afterall, this is supposed to be entertainment not just fighting. who cares if GSP is the champ but he is boring to watch unlike Bones and Silva or Cain. They are champs that are exciting to watch.
