Sotiropolous crushed him - I thought Roman might do ok after that first wrestling session, but after the first time George got his back, the fight was pretty much over. Brilliant display of BJJ, but I still hate the punk hehe.

As for Armenian’s dropping like flies, remember 3 fought that night, Manny Gamburian made his opponent look like an amateur.

George is a very skilled bjj fighter, he hung in there with Shinya Aoki after repeat attempts at leg locks, so to think Roman was even close to the ground game level as George was insane. This is just a display of how well versed George is as a fighter. Its a make it or break it situation for George considering hes getting old, so 1 or 2 losses in the UFC is probably going to be the end for him. Either expect a big run to the title, or a slow painful drop out of mma. Good Luck!

he’s going to do great things in the WW division..
his loss to Tommy on the show was a complete mistake.. i don’t think Tommy has a “big right hand”, i think he just got a lucky punch.. plus, George took a poke to the eye so he couldn’t block intelligently..
Sotiro’s just another one of those guys that you don’t even want to stand with.. but you definately don’t want to take him to the ground..

Manny did destroy his opponent, too bad nobody gave a fuck after his classless kick in the beginning. I understand the ref says come out and fight and touching gloves is suppose to be done before the fight starts, but then why the fuck do you come out and raise your hand to sucker someone into a cheap shot. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say the night turned out to be a bad display for the Armenian fighters.

why don’t he buck the guy of him. knee him in the back while his on top like that arch your back move onto your side squirm around don’t just lay there like a virgin on her prom night.. i’ve seen fighters do that.. keeping an opponent off center, place a little difficulty on the guy while he’s teeing off on you like that (sheez).. why do some guys just lay there like dead fish when an opponent passes his guard.. i don’t get it..

i don’t understand why fighters just lay there and get punched in the face… why not pull an anderson silva against a lutter mount and at least attempt to use the legs. It blows my mind. It’s high on the list of anything i would do to keep from gettting punched in the face… mind bogling

Manny, Roman and Karo are all Armenian. They were all born in Armenia, they may be American citizens now, but it doesn’t change the fact that they ARE Armenian.

As for Marcus Aurelio, he’s Brailian, not Armenian. Were you high when you typed that?

Getting out of a stable mount is harder than it looks, George is strong and an excellent grappler, he has a fantastic base. If you try to sweep, it uses the whole body, not just the legs. You have to be willing to get hit a couple of times if you want to go for a sweep, or you have to have amazing core strength. Would you want to put your hands down for a second if you had a guy like George mounted on you? You’re best bet is to use the cage to roll out of it. Or give up your back in hopes that you can defend the choke. It’s a good position to be in for a reason, it’s NOT easy to get out of, you go from one bad position to another.

As for A. Silva, he’s insanely flexible, that’s like saying everyone should be able to do an excellent rubber guard like BJ Penn, few people are as flexible as those guys. They’re champs for a damn good reason. Don’t compare guys who aren’t even on the top 10 to the guys at the top of the game.
