Mousasi had everything to lose and nothing to win. Log in to Reply wcoastassassin April 6, 2013 You rock Bruno. Mousasi really needed to go for the finish here, I think he might have been in trouble tonight against Gustafson. Log in to Reply PJackBrasil April 6, 2013 Way to go Mousasi. For the championship fight against Jones! Log in to Reply Chicago April 6, 2013 The crowed was great. Showed up on time for the prelims, very respectful, and very knowledgeable of bjj the whole card. Log in to Reply Joe Dog April 6, 2013 With his hands down, poking that jab with quickness and precision, it looked like a walk in the park for Mousasi until that take down in the final seconds. It almost looked like he toyed with Latifi. He played it safe and won a clear decision. Who’s next for Mousasi? Log in to Reply ZW April 6, 2013 Latifi came to fight but he was no match for GM’s reach with his straight left jab. Can’t wait to see more of the dreamcatcher. Log in to Reply peruvian necktie April 6, 2013 If I hear Goldie say “he’s swinging for the fences!” one more time, I’m a gonna jump thru the TV and strangle him. Log in to Reply B Real April 6, 2013 That’s finess! What a paw, faint, jab, stick, move move jab! So effective! Mousassi needs better competition. I’m sure he’s in the top 15, but one fight with a contender and he’s top five. Good warm up fight, now go and smash some UFC LHW’s! Log in to Reply PowerTele April 6, 2013 Judging by how strong Ilir was on the ground and how he was able to pass Gegard’s guard, I think Jon Jones would immediately take the fight to the ground and finish it because of his length. That reach of his is a huge tool. It is like trying to pry a lock with a pike vs. a screwdriver. Pike wins every time. Log in to Reply Rockstarzee April 6, 2013 Thanks Bruno Bruno: No problem. Thanks for showing up to the site. Log in to Reply KungFuLowKick April 6, 2013 Well I thought his impression of Rocky was spot on.He got his face smashed and never moved his head just like Rocky. Log in to Reply Rockstarzee April 6, 2013 Thanks Bruno Log in to Reply k1superstar April 6, 2013 Hey only pulled guard their out of mercy for latifi… what a nice guy man. Log in to Reply Gspfan April 6, 2013 Good show by both men. Log in to Reply mmafan April 6, 2013 Nice to see Gegard Mousasi in the UFC, he was a bit cautious here and not too impressive, but he did the job. Latifi represented himself well. Good fight, thanks Bruno. Log in to Reply Rico Suave April 7, 2013 I’m sure there will be a gif of that swing and miss by Latifi @2:10 of the 1st round. Log in to Reply Dave April 7, 2013 the most exciting fight was Reza medadi vs michael johnson, Madadi had an amazing come back! he is such a warrior. Log in to Reply Lazer212 April 7, 2013 I personally thought Mousasi would have looked a little better. Log in to Reply Thxer April 7, 2013 I was praying we wouldn’t see a fluke loss for Mousasi in this fight. That said I’d really like to see Latifi fight again. The guy is incredibly powerful and has the heart and durability to go 3 rounds with Gegard without quitting. Log in to Reply greengiant April 7, 2013 Latifi did a good job and should be proud.Im sure the ufc will bring him back at least once because he took the fight on a weeks notice. He came out to a rocky song and got busted up and lost like rocky, but he didn’t quit either, like rocky. Log in to Reply Joe Dog April 7, 2013 Mousasi was cautious for multiple reasons. He apparantly had a knee injury in training that will require surgery. He was partially disabled and fought anyway. Just the same, he gave Latifi a generous boxing lesson. We might not see Mousasi for a while. Too bad, it would be nice to see him gain some momentum in the UFC. Log in to Reply Tear April 7, 2013 Mousasi pressed the action, stalking Ilir with his hands down. Was connection with just about every punch he threw and avoiding almost every punch Ilir threw. He won the fight having taken 0 damage, while Ilir had a busted up face. Mousasi fought with a busted up knee, which is why he stayed on the outside and let himself down at the end of the fight. Log in to Reply JJ April 7, 2013 I am a bit disapointed Gegard didn’t finish but he obviously had some problems there (knee I hear). Hopefuly next oponent will knock Latifi out of the UFC Log in to Reply boonching April 8, 2013 wow. now I see why some people hate Anderson silva. gegard put a stand up clinic on that dude. a whole different class of fighter than latifi. it felt like watching a lion play with its food. it reminded me of the spider himself. but now i have another fighter to hate. gegard is a cocky, disrespectful nerd. why bring up your broken knee and your bird flu? did you lose? no. its bad enough you made this poor guy look like crap in front of the whole planet but now make excuses for why hes still breathing?? cmon!! and then the expression on gegards face the whole time? fuk that dude. btw, this is my first time seeing him fight. hes a bad mudderfugger Log in to Reply Leave a Reply Cancel replyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
