Obviously part of this was due to Gegard’s gameplan, but you have to wonder why he didn’t try more to take the fight to the ground.

@ Enscribe – if that is true, then it makes Gegard taking the fight (a lose, lose fight TBH) even more impressive.

Very excited to see Gegard against a top 10 in the UFC (Gustaffson or someone else)

He was also sick. He fought a smart fight, got the points with the jabs and didnt get hurt. But by the looks of the last 30 seconds makes you wonder if he would of got rocked on his back.

Gegard was injured, but chose to fight because he didn’t want to cancel. His doctor gave him the okay, but he would need surgery immediately after the fight.

@JJ – Why the hate?The guy took a dangerous fight on short notice and deserves total respect for that.He got beat up but never quit and deserves respect for that.I don’t understand peoples thought patterns,weird.
