Gegard Mousasi is a world of talent and far more potential. I would put him on relatively the same level as bisping right now although they have a different mix of styles. I hope he comes to the ufc some day. But hey the dutchmen kicked ass at dream 4

not yet marCO, Silva’s strikes are too crisp, Mousasi is definitely making a name for himself. I think he needs to improve on his striking!!

Are rear naked chokes not allowed in dream? How about back of the head shots?

Mousasi is definitely a solid middleweight, but you guys are definitely over-hyping him. His victory over Kang was not impressive; Kang pretty much just threw himself in a trinagle, a fight in which many people questioned the validity of. Personally, I see Mousasi up there with guys like Jason MacDonald, David Day, Maia, Leben, Cote, etc. He’s not quite up there with Bisping, Franklin, Marquardt, Henderson, and certainly not up there at Anderson Silva’s level! “MarCO”, please take back that ridiculous statement above!

As for this fight, it was pretty exciting, as it went back and forth. Mousasi showed pretty good stand up, good takedown defense and submission defense as well, and relentless ground-N-pound (even though many of his shots were to the back of the head). As for Dong, he showed a lot of heart and resiliency, especially as he came back and almost finished the fight with that arm bar. Although, he did seem to quit at the end there, just taking punch after punch on all fours, with little attempt to escape it looked like.

MMApunk… you should be called UFCpunk!

I’m sure if Gegard was fighting in the UFC and he had won, you would be all over his jock… you would be eager to be the first to hype him up and jump on his jock… just to let everyone know how MMA savvy you are.

I bet this is his first fight you have seen, as for Kang, so what did you want him to do?… lay there and take punches? I thought the objective was to win. If Kang went in there with total disregards for Gegard’s grappling, wouldn’t it be Kang’s fault, can’t you give Gegard credit for taking advantage of Kang’s ego?

Either way stick to the UFC.. your comment will make more sense, since that’s all you jock ride.

Mousasi is over hyped right now. You will see when Melvin completely destroys him… which he will.

why do they match up a 21-2 fighter vs a 4v4?

mmapunk you make a couple good points I just don’t think people give credit to mousasi’s ability, in alot of cases he makes others fighters fall into his traps by overplaying there own strengths. He is also really good at reversing situations, such as the kang fight. I wouldn’t say he’s on anderson silva or dan hendersons level, but definitely the same as bisping and marquardt. He is way younger than bisping and has twice as much fights not to mention twice as many wins but lol I gues you could say twice as much losses even though its only 2. Point being hes a young talented fighter who can give a lot of older talented fighters a run for their money while not looking super impressive all the time, he can be very dominating
