Mir vs Cain, Hmmmm I am pretty excited by this fight!! My heart says Mir by sub, My head says Cain my TKO

After Dos Santos puts Overeem in a very large body bag by way of KTFO I would love to see Mir vs Santos.

I don’t think Santos is beatable at the moment and I certainly don’t think Mir is capable of doing so but regardless it would be entertaining.

Powertele Says, in 3-8-2012 at 08:41:25 from

Everyone can be beatable. Everyone has weaknesses. Keep your guard up at all times.

CRO_GUY Says, in 3-8-2012 at 08:43:53 from

Mir can’t sub Cain cause he’s out before he hits the ground!
JDS vs Reem will be the greatest upset of all times (4 some of you at least) – JDS goes down harder than Bisping when he took the H-bomb…
Now regarding the fights, i’d like to see Mir vs Reem, but this will not happen.
Mir va JDS is great too as wow said but, will not happen…
So we see Cain vs Reem and if Reem takes that he’ll get the props he deservs.
NHF all just my picks…

mmmmm very tough fight for mirr if he come with good condition and good takedown defence he can win thr fight especialy in the ground, dos santos has good hand speed ,but i think if hes gonna win this fight hes gonna win via sub, overeem what can i say he can demolish any1

OhBoy Says, in 3-8-2012 at 08:55:59 from

Overeem is not losing to Dos Santos by strikes, maybe by submission. I think Overeem has a significant advantage in experience and expertise with striking. You are going to watch JDS get KTFO.

Man I really wanted to see Mir vs werdum !! Two bjj fighters turned boxing happy but have that bjj in their holster. Who’s the better practitioner ? Would their bjj skills nullify? hope we see that fight soon.

FRINGEclass Says, in 3-8-2012 at 09:53:31 from

Man I really wanted to see Mir vs. werdum it just seemed more intriguing to me. Two elite bjj fighters turned stand up happy. Who would be the better bjj practitioner? Would their skills nullify ? Idunno I tried lobbying for it.

I’m going for my boy Cain here though!

zmayo Says, in 3-8-2012 at 10:35:03 from

yea JDS and Reem is going to be good fight, could go either way. JDS is on a roll but Reem is just nasty. And Cain and Mir is also going to be a great fight same with Nelson and Bigfoot. All around I can not wait for this!!

VisionQuest Says, in 3-8-2012 at 11:10:40 from

I am for Mir, but his head movement better be like mayweather, and Cain Handled Brock….EASY! So, Im not sure Frank has much of a chance other than counter punching or counter submissions from the bottom. I do think he can pull it off though, and should try the ground before the stand up.

Tempted Says, in 3-8-2012 at 11:17:21 from

How the hell does Mir keep getting fights like this? He has no chin! Best heavyweight on the ground, chin is just weak. Overeem doesn’t deserve a title shot until he beats a contender. Heavyweight division is looking bad right now. Great fighters, not great fights. I want to see Reem vs Carwin, Cain vs Mitrione and Mir vs Struve. Take the winner of Reem/Carwin and fight for the title. Let the winners of the others fight each other, then the winner of that fight for the title.

KungFuLowKick Says, in 3-8-2012 at 12:06:11 from

Why does a wolrd champion kickboxer, and dream and SF world champion would need to fight another guy for a contender??He already beat Brock. And everyone was happy when Diaz had a direct title shot against GSP(until he blew it).Overeem definetly deserves the title shot more then ANYONE else in the UFC.

wow Says, in 3-8-2012 at 12:11:04 from

I agree with LowKick,,, Reem deserves a shot we all know what he can do..

But i really believe JDS has the boxing advantage, he is a very well polished fighter.

either way i cant wait the card is just stacked with big heavyweights…

I hope bigfoot gets his face punched of his head.

BisbeeHighGrade Says, in 3-8-2012 at 12:34:16 from

JDS VS Reem = JDS being put down and in nasty, brutal fashion.I love JDS, more so then any other HWY in the UFC except for one, Reem is the man. I remember reading all the posts, everyone one, regarding him getting Donkey Kong treatment from Brock. Thats pretty much how it’ll go down with every HWY. JDS will be able to draw it out longer because Reem will respect his power more so then any other, a fool wouldn’t. No ones getting past that striking, size, strength and how all these attributes are put into pin point accuracy in heavy, quick strikes. If Brock hadn’t been the widest HWY around the midsection, those first couple knees would have broke much

BisbeeHighGrade Says, in 3-8-2012 at 12:37:13 from

Cain will run-through Frank, two different worlds and levels here. People, please forget the arm break as its not happening this time.

Gee Says, in 3-8-2012 at 12:55:52 from

dude overeem is gonna win you f****** jewwopkikeniggerspicretard

jdogg Says, in 3-8-2012 at 13:04:29 from

Cain will TKO Frank badly. It most likely won’t even be competitive.

morbidcro Says, in 3-8-2012 at 15:44:42 from

I have Cain beating Mir. I can’t see Mir getting him on the ground to finish, and I can’t see him winning on the feet.

I have JDS beating Overeem (I’m a huge Overeem fan and watched as many K1 and MMA fights that I could find). Reem is a good striker, but not great. JDS is such a more techinical striker I think he can just keep landing from the outside until Reem gets gassed.

I’m undecided on Bigfoot and Big Country. I’ll be cheering for Bigfoot though.

rjcowger Says, in 3-8-2012 at 15:55:12 from

Broke Lesnar is a joke, JDS is going to show those of you that cant judge talent, the difference in skill between UFC champions and champions of other organizations. just like when Shields came to the UFC and Diaz, they both left their belts behind and now one is retired and the other is close to being fired. JDS has better striking than Reem, yes I said it, your heard it here. he does not have to win K1 to be a great striker. Instead of winning 3 other worthless belts he just went ahead and won the only one that matters. It will be a good fight but Reem is going down.

Frank Mir vs Fabricio Werdum is what I was hoping for.

MMAGiantSilva Says, in 3-8-2012 at 16:41:47 from

Cain shouldn’t be 1 fight away from a titlle shot and I am a fan of his.

overeem taps to strikes mark my words

DavidJones Says, in 3-8-2012 at 19:29:27 from

what the hell is wrong with nelson??? taking a fight with BIGFOOT SIVA, thats like the worst match up for him stylisticly. he’ll get killed..ahh man, i like nelson , but the ufc doesnt oviously.

Tempted Says, in 3-8-2012 at 20:11:52 from

Brock was used up, he wasn’t a contender. He was unable to take a shot to the gut and Reem knew it. Reem should have had to fight a contender in the UFC before he got a title shot. It should have been Cain, Carwin or even Mir(would’ve been ugly for Mir). Reem has been FINISHED 8 times including tapping to strikes, he has a suspect chin. Most of the times he was KOed was against a LHW as well. If he gets hit by a big heavyweight he is going to sleep.

IKnives Says, in 3-8-2012 at 21:12:16 from

HW division hasn’t looked this interesting in a while. Or ever actually.

Pinkelephantsmarching Says, in 3-9-2012 at 02:21:18 from

I love how everyone on here is ON REEMS sack NOW. GO back a year or so ago, or more, I preached about this guy and said when he finally got to the UFC, he would destroy it, and he will. Half of the clowns on here were running their mouths as they always do….. NOW WHAT? Everyone on here is so fake. You guys come straight out of a comic book.

zen1 Says, in 3-9-2012 at 03:09:03 from

ssantos is going to use footwork and after some fast punching combos is either going to try to take overeem down or tire him on the fence with a clinch mixed with dirty boxing and takedown attemps all this to use a more ko oriented approach from round 3 to 5 to either win by decision, gnp or ko

Dave Says, in 3-9-2012 at 04:57:13 from

I think Cain will win this fight. Mir is very good on the ground but Cain has good wrestling to counter that and has a better stand up. Cain’s is also much faster than Mir.

Dave Says, in 3-9-2012 at 05:04:01 from

come off Over roid’s balls! I honestly can see Sigano knocking him out! overreem has been fighting for a while and he has experience but i’ve watched him fight since he was a skiny boy and I know he is good when he feels dominant but as soon as he gets hit he backs downs in other word when he isn’t dominant in the fight he gives up and has a weak heart.
its a fight it could go either way but cigano has much faster hands then Reem!

mmafan Says, in 3-9-2012 at 05:42:04 from

JDS vs Overeem should be an epic fight. Once again I like both fighters but I would have to give the edge to Overeem. If Cain is back in form he should be able to take down and pound out Mir, but Mir is always a threat.

jdogg Says, in 3-9-2012 at 11:27:45 from

Those of you who think JDS will beat Reem are wrong imo. Overeem will TKO JDS in the 2nd or 3rd via strikes. JDS will keep it standing and pay the price for it.

Just remember who said it.

Licks72 Says, in 3-9-2012 at 14:29:08 from

First, I am a huge Mir fan. I want to remind some of you that when Tank was considered “scary”, Mir tapped him. When Sylvia was champ, Mir broke his arm. When Brock came in and was destroying, Mir tapped him. When Big Nog came to the UFC, Mir dismantled him the first time and broke his arm the second time.NEVER count Mir out. He came back from a near death motorcycle accident to get back on top.One of the few HWs that could submit or KO and opponent equally. He has many ways to finish Cain.

Licks72 Says, in 3-9-2012 at 14:30:42 from

Oh yeah, can’t wait for JDS vs Overeem. IDK who wins but I think it won’t disappoint.

Danby Says, in 3-9-2012 at 16:42:49 from

Big country vs bigfoot!! Poor big country is gonna take anouther big beating. This should be an interesting card though.

Bernardo Says, in 3-9-2012 at 23:48:17 from

Hard to speculate on the JDS vs Overeem but both are extremely dangerous and heavy strikers!! I do see JDS more elusive, better technique, better foot work, and better cardio/stamina. So I give the edge to JDS. JDS will catch him and finish him like he did Cain.

Mir vs Cain is another tough call. I give the edge to Cain bc he should come back hungrier than ever and should be able to keep the fight standing, unless he choses to take it down to the ground. Mir’s only chance is a hay maker in the standup or a submission on the ground.

Tempted Says, in 3-10-2012 at 17:58:28 from

Mir vs Cain is going to go one of two ways; Mir is going to start the fight on his back and sub Cain or Cain is going to knock Mir into a dream in the first round. Overeem is getting KOed, count on that. He has experience, and in that experience we see that he can’t take a heavy shot. He’s been KOed by a bunch of 205ers, when he steps in with a true heavyweight with heavy hands he is going to sleep. I love Roy Nelson. Can’t knock the guy out, sure as hell can’t submit him. His fights are either him taking a beating for 3 rounds or his opponent getting KTFO by a big overhand right.
