He had that fight won and got into a bad position. Most times I think he would have won that. I wish he won. He is such a nice guy. Never talks trash and nobody talks trash to him. He had to say he had staff infection last time cause he did but he meant that respectfully and Mir took it out of content esp seeing the countdown show. Nog proved to have better striking, BJJ and wrestling, just got caught. Nogueira is a big threat to anyone when on his game. I’m sure I can speak for all of us here when I say that we all really appreciate the time and effort you put into this site. Thanks again -Ethan Bruno: Thanks, I have not had much time to work on it the last two days. Been flying to much. Tough to get much done in an airport. Log in to Reply facephucke December 12, 2011 Nogueira will be back, most of these Brazilian fighters will fight until they get fired by all fighting organizations that used to take them. Just wait and see…He will be back for sure! Log in to Reply ri December 12, 2011 Bruce buffer ännounced Mir as the winner via “TKO” shouldnt it been announced as via sub/kimura.? Log in to Reply JoeDog December 12, 2011 Why is that considered a “submission”. That fight was stopped by the ref and not the fighter. Nogueira never tapped, his arm broke and the ref stopped the fight. Submission attempt…broken arm….stoppage. What am I missing? Log in to Reply Licks72 December 12, 2011 Rogan is impossible to listen to. He is wrong more often than he is right. Nog isn’t on a different level on the ground from Mir, Mir wasn’t out…etc.. Log in to Reply MMAGiantSilva December 12, 2011 Some of you just need to shut up and realize Mir brutally kicked his ass twice fair and square. Nog and his fans are full of esxcuses really THxer it was Herb’s fault that Mir tore his arm off get real. Log in to Reply MMAGiantSilva December 12, 2011 And to the idiot said Nog made a tactical error, Mir made a tactical error and got punched in the face. What was the result he still won lmfao. Log in to Reply bobbo December 12, 2011 Joe dog ..Big nog tapped…look at the other angle. NOg tapped at the exact same time that the arm snapped Log in to Reply noseel December 12, 2011 Respect to Nog for going for the finish..even if it wasn’t the smartest idea Log in to Reply Thxer December 13, 2011 Woah calm down Mir nuthugger! LOL. It’s not MY fault they were grabbing each others shorts, fool. Nog almost KO’d Mir standing, I’d hardly call that an ass kicking. And Joe saying Nog is on another level on the ground is RIDICULOUS. If anything, I gave Mir a big advantage. Nog will get hit in the face 100 times and finally get an armbar given to him; Mir will actively position and attack for submissions. Log in to Reply Tesla December 13, 2011 Nog nuthuggers who are whining need to either learn some jits or learn how to show some respect for a tremendous submission. That and learning not to listen to Rogan color the feed. No fight is over or won until it’s called. PERIOD. Saying Nog had that fight won is just plain stupid. Nog didn’t have the power to finish and decided to go to HIS strength (grappling/BJJ) and basically his EGO got him subbed since he thought that there would be no positions on the ground he’d be scared from. Nog did just fine and was on the way back up to top/back control when Mir did something that surprised him which is kick out over him FASTER THAN Nog realized. Nog knows that he should have blocked the transition or grabbed the leg, but a 260lb man kicking out on top that fast is hard to stop with one arm. Nog got caught with a superb, technical Kimura. Rolling only made it worse and delayed what what a surefire submission. After the roll, and Mir sprawled, Nog should have IMMEDIATELY tapped, but his pride made him wait and he paid the price. Nog looked neither old or bad, Mir was stunned and not gassed, and Mir obviously was a lot stronger and more patient than Nog expected. AWESOME submission no matter how you cut it. Log in to Reply southiejimmy December 13, 2011 @thatman..youve got your nogs mixed up. frank mir beat big nog not little nog…just saying. Log in to Reply hooch1967 December 14, 2011 A farewell to arms. Log in to Reply FailSonnen December 14, 2011 Nogman shoulda just kept punching Log in to Reply Mario December 16, 2011 Man, what an intense showdown and whooped at the end! Replayed the bone-snapping part, half a dozen of times. LEGENDARY CLASSIC DEFENSE ACT caught on video! Big Nog was an aggressive hungry “alley dog” with high level of confidence and stamina. Impressive. Mir was totally low-key and humble (perhaps nervous, too) with CCC’s (calm, cool, and collected) energy. He got a big heart. BNogcould not take Mir down after being taken down earlier, that made me laugh. Log in to Reply « Older Comments Leave a Reply Cancel reply You must be logged in to post a comment.
