Frank Mir Talks about UFC 130 fight with Roy Nelson. Fedor and Dana White. He also goes into how well Alistair Overeem would do against the stable of UFC heavyweights.

Lol he was talking bout how he is at his best going forward and s*** but when it comes to Overeem he could have problems. The cage allows strength to be a factor in the UFC. I am not sure anyone is as strong as Overeem in the UFC. Perhaps he needs to work on his wrestling tho. Mir is just unlikable. Funny thing is, he doesnt know it lol
nice interview. I like Mir. I didn’t like it when he did the color commentary for WEC (he never shut up!) but he seems very intellegent when in interview situations.
How many times will people talk about how Roy Nelson beat Frank Mir in a BJJ match??? Haha. I think that is the reason the UFC made that match-up.
give him reem
Mir is always an articulate guy and I enjoy listening to someone intelligent in MMA.
legend?
He is doing growth hormone
I thingk this accident with the motorcycle took a lot away from this guy physically.
Btw i would like to try out the girl from the gun store.
i cant stand frank mur!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Intelligent, unbiased and entertaining interview. Props to Mir for sounding like someone with above an elementary education. The sport is lacking in that aspect.
can’t wait to hear all of frank’s elaborate excuses for why nelson beat him.
thats not frank mur ,
thats big john with a go-tee
The Frank Mir that broke Sylvias forearm in half, and made Tank and Petey scream in pain has been dead for a long time now. This Frank Mir is the guy who got jacked by Cruz and Vera. Bring back the guy who used to try to tear body parts off, or retire. Simple as that.
Alistair Overeem would kill this man… Frank who??
@RNS i agree and disagree at the same time. The guys he completly dominated on the ground are way less talented then the guys in the top 10 right now.His striking has gone from Bar brawling to pretty technical boxing. But since he is now becoming more well rounded he seems to prefer to clinch on the cage and i think he doesnt feel like he has to submit a guy brutaly because everyone is telling him his BJJ is awesome(it is)so he doesnt have anything to prove and he seems like he wants to be known more than the guy with awesome BJJ.Still what made him popular is his BJJ so he should go back to his roots because his cage clinching is REALLY boring.
He got pissed cos someone called him a legend? Typical inflated frank mir head…God I hate this fat F***…I hope Roy beats his ass with his belly…Submission win by belly drowning!
THis guy loves to hear himself talk…STFU!
his face has blown up
he talks good, saying he should fight carwin iz nuts n bringing nelson down is nutz also. well will c wat happens
Mir is getting fat in the face, like Overeem did from his 205 days till today. They really need to either regulate the juicing or let them through like Japan.
Mir is much smarter than the average MMA fan. This is the main reason why he is not liked…
Legend? After Nelson takes him out…Legend?
To make short story long? Frank babbles and and yaps, yet what he has to say could be summed up in about ten words by a sixth grader. I’d have to disagree with Bigpapa though. I thought he did a good job on vrs. announcing the WEC fights, he suprised me. He used his knowledge gave his view and made complete sense, he didn’t babble like this.
Ever notice that the only coherent replies to a Frank Mir interview come from Mir fans? I guess if I had flunked out of grade school, I’d be pretty upset at having to listen to someone speak intelligently for 5+ minutes.
I don’t understand how being honest about your shortcomings and failures in life and being able to talk about them in an analytical and critical fashion comes off as being smug and egotistical.
Know thyself, dumbasses.
Oh, and his commentary on Vs. was great, mainly because the play-by-play announcer was terrible… that is, until he kept calling Mizugaki “Misaki”. That was a shame. I believe he didn’t do commentary anymore after that bout. Otherwise, he was a fountain of technical knowledge and always seemed a move ahead of the fighters to the point of being almost prophetic with his calls. I believe he also never once used the Trigg “OH MY GOSH!” repeated tenfold.
No his commentary on VRS was great becouse he didn’t suck like Joe Rogan. He did a good job, I like Bonner too, he is good.
cool guy
