Log in to Reply ash April 11, 2013 mir is so full of himself, Barnett can beat mir anyday, mir should get KO’ed again maybe knock some since into him. DC is a great figher, he’ll ****ing knock murrr out. Log in to Reply tru April 11, 2013 The black guy is going to knock him out in the first round.or the second for sure remember It. Trunk said it first. Log in to Reply tobes April 11, 2013 In pure grappling, wrestling is arguably (and IMO) better than BJJ. In MMA, it is DEFINITELY better. Greatest champions in UFC present and past history all have excellent TDs or at least TDD GSP (incredible TDs and TDD) Randy Couture (wrestler) BJ Penn (incredible TDs and TDD) Chuck Liddell (incredible TDD) Matt Hughes (wrestler) Jon Jones (wrestler) Anderson Silva (excellent TDD) Benson Henderson (wrestler) Rashad Evans (wrestler) Cain Velasquez (wrestler) Frankie Edgar (wrestler) Brock Lesnar (wrestler) Junior Dos Santos (excellent TDD) Jose Also (incredible TDD) Cormier has 2 ways to win this fight: KO/TKO or dominant decision. Frank Mir has 1 way to win: hail-mary submission. He’s talking trash here with no credibility. Mir fares badly against wrestlers (Brock, Carwin). Cormier has proven himself and will dominate Mir. Log in to Reply Tear April 11, 2013 Frank Mir also said Lesnar would smash Overeem. Log in to Reply Tear April 11, 2013 By the way, nice hair Mir, what type of pudding did you smother it with? Log in to Reply eman April 11, 2013 In heavyweight, anything can happen. those guys are so strong, that one (even “missed”) shot can drop the shit out. im not a big mir fan, but i like to watch him fighting. Log in to Reply JAK April 11, 2013 After hearing the comments Frank Mir made about Josh Barnett, I would love to see them fight. Log in to Reply tallandsincere April 11, 2013 I am a huge Mir fan, always have been he has been through a lot and is quite a funny guy. That been said, i can see him trying to stand and bang with DC getting clipped, going down covering up… I really wish he would work takedowns, like that 1 attemtped take down on JDS was pathetic then he literally gave up Log in to Reply straightAhead April 11, 2013 googling “Kenda Perez” right now… Log in to Reply AOPrinciple April 11, 2013 I’ve always been a Mir fan, for some reason, and he’s definitely one of my favorite fighters, win or lose. I think Mir has the potential to beat Cormier, and I look forward to him getting back to his winning ways. Log in to Reply Joe Dog April 11, 2013 Mir is so full of himself. I always think of that distorted cocky smirk on his bloody smashed face between rounds just before Lesnar crushed him completely. What will he say when Cormier dribbles his head on the mat like a basketball? Anything can happen in these top ranked HW bouts but my money is on the wrestler in this one. Log in to Reply Lazer212 April 11, 2013 Kenda was looking good. Log in to Reply ericsson April 11, 2013 josh barnett for **** sake Log in to Reply INANEBIGNATE April 11, 2013 josh barnett was not cormier last oppenent guys, doin starring was. Cormier ko’ed big foot and dominated josh barnett. He also has a solid win over jeff monson. That is better wins than Frank has had in a long long time. Log in to Reply INANEBIGNATE April 11, 2013 *Dion Starring Log in to Reply BamBam April 11, 2013 it WASN’T Barnett you BUMS!!! it was DION STARING! google before commenting you smartasses! 😀 Log in to Reply MuffDiggler April 11, 2013 Gotta agree with Frank on this one. Even tho DC has some serious wrestling game, the logic behind Frank’s disdain is warranted. He didn’t discredit Cormier, he simply pointed out that his superiority at one skill does not in itself make a UFC champion. Log in to Reply MMAgiantsilva April 11, 2013 Lol keyboard warriors forgot Mir knows his stuff he even used to commentate. He knew nobody knew Dion Staring as proven by the response’s besides a knowledgeable few. Anyways I think Cormier’s wrestling and striking is better than Mir’s and he is in for a tough night. But I think that is the case if just about anyone not named Cain Valesquez fights him. Even than it is a pick em fight. Log in to Reply MMAgiantsilva April 11, 2013 Inanbignate that is true since Mir lost his last fight and the fight prior to that was 2011 where he beat Nog again by impressive fashion. I like Cormier and I like Barnett but not nearly as impressive as smashing Big Nog twice sorry. Not to mention he beat all the UFC greats back in the day like Tank Abbott (not a good fighter just saying) and Tim Sylvia. He beat arguably one of the best athletes to ever enter MMA Brock Lesnar than Kongo, Mirko and Roy. I guess my ramble is a little pointless since I too think Cormier will beat Mir. But I suppose my point is Mir is truthful in pointing out he has faced and beaten the tougher competition. That is simple fact. Log in to Reply misotocurry April 11, 2013 To be honest…I think we all know mir is just trolling, as he approaches the twilight of his career, he is slow, got like a billion injury , a demolished chin…he is just having some fun Log in to Reply wcoastassassin April 11, 2013 Mir doesn’t belong in the same ring, this will not end well for him. Log in to Reply rapture April 11, 2013 does anyone even listen to what this ****head has to say anymore. him and tim silvia need to go fight for the parking lot title then tell each other how good each other is. Log in to Reply anakonda April 12, 2013 Pretty much same thoughts as giantsilva, Mir is good and has great achievements. Cormier is not 100% proven yet but looks like he is the freak athlete type with significantly more pound for pound power than average UFC fighter. I don’t think Mir can stop him. Cormier could go 205. He is 5″11 and has 71 reach. That’s small even in LW standards. That tells something about the power he has. I don’t see anyone else being able to stop JJ but the small size might become too much of disadvantage when going for HW title. Some kind of a chance for Mir because of that. If he can keep the game around reach advantage and bjj who knows… Log in to Reply Leave a Reply Cancel reply You must be logged in to post a comment.
