They needed to find SOMETHING for him to do, or else, like Maxipad said, he could have fallen into obscurity. He's got a lot riding on this fight with Baroni. If he doesn't beat Baroni, then he could be in trouble. I do think that Hendricks was definitely a bad matchup for Amir, in that he was a guy not many people knew, but definitely had legit skills. We all know what Baroni is, and so does Amir, so let's see what he's got. If he loses here, then he's in a tough position. Baroni is a vet and all, but if he can't beat Baroni, then there's not really any chance of him making noise at WW.

First of all, LoL at Maxipad. The originality on that one ran out in the 4th grade, but it is still funny.

Secondly, I agree to an extent about Amir. He was injured and unable to fight so they gave him a sweet TV gig. Also, if he loses to Bonehead Baroni he will be in dutch for sure. Losing to Hendricks wouldn't have seemed as bad to me. IMO the UFC will prolly give him another shot regardless. Look at Danzig. They want to give their TUF winners as much help as they can. It just makes them look good for them to succeed.
