"I know I've lost two matches. I still think I can beat him, and I still think that's a big fight. I still want that fight. That would be awesome. I think if I call him out enough times I think he'll be a man and step up. Why wouldn't he? That's a huge fight and a big payday for him. It will be good. I think we can see one more. Why not? I'm down. I'm always game. You know me, I'm not afraid to fight anyone, even though there was a picture that was painted a long time ago that wasn't true. I've fought him twice already. I'm not afraid. He already proved he's not my friend, so the hell with it. I've got nothing to lose. Lets make some money, and this time I'm going to kick his ass." - Tito Ortiz
Former UFC light-heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz talks to MMAWeekly.com about his desire for a third match with fellow former 205-pound champ Chuck Liddell. Since re-signing with the UFC in August, Ortiz has been lobbying for another shot at his former friend and now bitter rival, Liddell. Ortiz and Liddell previously fought two times before. Their first encounter was in April 2004 at UFC 47, where Liddell scored a second round KO win over Ortiz. The "Iceman" was also victorious in their second meeting at UFC 66 in Dec. 2006, earning a third round TKO win over the "Huntington Beach Bad Boy." Before getting too far ahead of himself, Ortiz has to worry about Forrest Griffin, who he'll face in a rematch at UFC 106 on Nov. 21 in Las Vegas. He is coming off of major spinal fusion surgery to correct a back problem that has been bothersome to him for several years. He is winless in his last three bouts and hasn't competed since May of 2008. His last appearance in the Octagon saw him lose to current UFC light-heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida at UFC 84. Ortiz hasn't won a fight since October of 2006, when he defeated Ken Shamrock for the third time. i like it. both are still big draws and can be exciting. i think Tito can beat him now.

He might be able to beat chuck...but who cares? yeah, they're both still big names with some pull but what does Chuck have to prove against Tito now? He destroyed him twice. And a tito win vs chuck doesnt do anything for tito. If tito loses to forrest decisively, then Id be a little more behind this making any sense.

Now that Chuck's best days are definitively behind him Chico finally actually wants to fight him?
![]() If that's how you 'prove yourself' then i'm going to go 'call out' Muhammad Ali right now to show that i'm the world's greatest boxer.

There is absolutely no reason for this fight to take place. Cheeto is just trying to keep himself relevant which is becoming more and more difficult. Lets see if can even get by a vastly improved Gump.

Exactly what I was thinking. I'm also going to call out Jimi Hendrix to a guitar duel.

i agree that chuck is past his prime...tito u lost when it counted.....chuck is most likely retired.....you need to hush
but on that note tito is underrated he beat forrst who became champ, and he gave machida a good fight considering machida ktfo rashad...tito could beat rashad

Shad would kill Tito now. Evans striking is considerably better now than it was back when they had their fight. |
