Carlos “The Ronin” Newton (16-14) talks Renzo, Matt Hughes and past and future fights, Masters div for MMA and more.
Carlos Newton is the guy that got me interested in MMA the coolest fighter ever
A legend and a gentleman. Love this guy.
Same here, Carlos was one of my favorite guys to watch. I can’t remember a boring fight with him. Great guy too.
Also, interesting to know he’s a Canadian and British citizen. Bisping can stop saying he’s going to be the first Brit champ now, it’s already been done!
And my lord, please take that mic away from that interviewer!
Looks like Carlos has been hitting the Fig Newtons quite a bit ![]()
I’m sad…
@ beast… Better than mine. I was going to call him the black butterbean.
I don’t like this reporter. He asked 12 questions and half of them had to do with his loss to Matt.
I still think that Matt Huges fight was bogus. I mean they literally woke him up to tell him that he won the fight. I mean EVERYONE that watched that fight knows that Matt Hughes was completely out when that famous ‘slam’ occured. He should be writing Carlos Newton thank you cards every year for that BS highlight because he wouldnt be where he is today if it wasnt for that ‘win’. I’d love to see that rematch no matter how old they are…
Fig Newtons…hehe.
carlos has some tiny ears. just saying. man i would be interested in this master league for old fighters!
dmfh1981 is dead on the money. If I remember correctly Hughes actually asked what happened!!
His fight with Sakuraba is a classic
Great guy glad he seems happy and not a broke wreck like so many x fighters
Dude has some tiny ears
@dmfh1981-exactly.the records say something different then what we all know.
Looks like PM dawn !!!
I love the DBZ warrior is it just me but did anyone else notice that he said 185 when he clearly looks like he would fight Frank Mir or the Super Samoan hahahahahahahah GTFOH Carlos just saying
Carlos “The Ronin” Newton…great heart fighter… a legend and a good person… in the same line as Fedor.
George foreman fought larry holmes… hmm interesting!
