Pulver did what he always does, put his face in front of the other guy’s fists…
At 34, he should know better than letting his hands down and his ego up.
However, that was not impressive. I haven’t followed Garcia’s fights, but I didn’t see anything that tells me “champion” here.

Jens slowed down just enough to take away his edge. He looked great against Faber, I don’t know how many more he has in the tank with the speed needed for his style to be successful, consistently that is.

Pulver is a great fighter, just missing opportunities on his opponent while creating small ones for them at the same time.

Fights like these make me wish they were longer.

I was never a Jans fan… I did like watching him, but never rooted for him.

It’s interesting to see MMA fly by some of the perceived greats… makes you wonder if they were that good at all. Liddell, Hughes, Pulver or maybe it has something to do with the fact that they all were wrestlers!!!

Im a MASSIVE Pulver fan. Coz of his fights but also the qulaity person he is – he was entertaining as hell on his season of the ultimate fighter with some of his calls. This was sad to watch. Wheni saw it was a short fight i also knew lil evil was in for it ….

He should just retire, there are too many people even at 145 too strong for him…hes very skilled but just doesnt have the physicality needed at this point in his career.

if you want to see injury and bloodshed watch medical trauma documentary footage you pig.

most others would be sleeping at that point, but he was daydreamland on his knees. but this pulver…

jens is at a crossroad.
he’s still got championship ability but must learn fron this mistake as you guys said fighting w. his chin.

faber/brown
pulver/garcia

are all examples of
great fighters getting rocked and not surviving because :
- either they try to counter to give the opponent the illusion that they are not rocked OR.- in gsp’s case i think that that he first tried to grab a leg but re-exposed himself.

head punches need 5-10 seconds or so.

body / liver hits are different or so they say
fedor did manage to clinch fujita but he was not on the mat like gsp was against serra. gsp may have weathered the storm

Wow! Wow! Wow! First of i hate decision fights because it doesn’t prove who is the better fighter. Gracie lost a close fight with Roger either one could have moved up to fight Kenny. Wow everything has changed now has the chance to fight the champ and to have the belt even a huge contender to Uriah Faber. it wasn’t luck Gracie was the better striker but you got to respect even before Pulver was knocked senseless he caught a punch then landed quickly back to Garcie which is beautiful but did not stop what so ever.
