I am a pure fan of MMA. I am an old guy who truly respects the skills of Randy and Fedor, but after watching them numerous times, I give the edge to Fedor.
I love UFC, and I loved to watch Pride, but being a fan of MMA, Fedor supercedes organization. He is special. The guy has that something extra, that I have not seen from other fighters. He can take tremendous punishment, and seems hardly affected. Like the time he was dropped on his head with his full body weight, by Randleman? He hardly acted hurt. This alone would have took out most fighters.
It appears that he is so spontaneously intelligent as a fighter, that he always has a trick to go to, when an opening is presented or he makes his own opening. Just as BJ Penn is “the prodigy” in his weight class, I think Fedor is “The Natural”, in his, not Randy. I don’t care if he is Russian, it is what it is.
Couture would approach this fight scientifically and try to find Fedor’s weaknesses, by watching film. I don’t think Fedor has a weakness. . Fedor would just go with his instincts and win.

randy’s chances go up if it’s a cage it’s true.

coleman had fedor in the corner (which is the cloest thing to the fence in a ring situation) and almost got a good rear choke on fedor.
he also got top position soon after but fedor got in an armbar to end it before coleman could GnP.

Couture would be more methodical for sure although , fedor would have a speed advantage as well as a versatile approach which makes him able to survie, escape and become a threat.

I think tim sylvia has a punchers chance, although again, i dunno if fedor will give him much of a chance. Hunt is a more dangerous striker IMO than sylvia in that he hits tremendously hard - has an even better chin (and sylvia has a great chin. like the hunt fight,

fedor will probably win on the ground at some point although that doesnt mean that the whole fight will be on the ground. Sylvia’s sprawl is excellent but it’s predictable.

randy is a good wrestler , and he is good dirty boxer too.But hi is using the cage for his dirty boxing.If they fight in a ring Fedor will beat him.The cage will be something new for fedor and he might have some problems.But I still think that fedor is better than randy

Randy Couture could beat Fedor? Do you know why Couture was a 25-time champ? Because he lost! Many, many times. Has anyone actually seen Couture’s record or do they just remember his last 2 fights? Put your emotions for the guy aside and think with your head!

It is so funny to read people post these posts based in such absurd logic. People are so focused on the UFC now they don’t realize the history behind the sport and how big it has been all over the world, just not in America. Saying Fedor hasn’t beat any of the top fighters is insanely stupid and uninformed. Next we’ll hear kimbo slice would beat him. For all you haters of any fighter not just Fedor, go to sherdog.com and look up fighters records, you can see who they fought, what fights they won and what ones they lost, then go to youtube or whatever and watch the fights so you have some idea what you are talking about. I think-and I say think because styles make fights and in this game you never know-Fedor Vs. Couture would go pretty much the same as Coleman Vs. Fedor. For those of you who don’t know who Mark Coleman is, fallow above steps to kicking some knowledge. And I can already hear people saying Coleman is no Randy, but really? He is a good wrestler, he’s ok standing, he beats you up out of your guard… he’s American

if,you think randy can wins against fedor,you’re out of your mind.fedor have a good transition,wherever the fight goes,while randy is just a good wrestler,maybe he also have a lil bit of dirty boxing.think about it if randy goes to his back againts fedor he is done,while fedor in the other hand is just like another day at the office.who’s taking over ufc now,its pride fighters right,except bj,well bj is a beast 155,170lbs aslong as he train well,like his fight agianst gsp and 2nd hushes could have win but his cool,have a heineken and surf all day,that life here.gsp is a good athelete thought he should reign.how bout shogun and chuck without gassing out,its going to be a good fight,
