This is an ideal fight for fedor in my opinion. For him to step into the deep end after fighting lacklustre opposition would be pretty unlikely.

And Minato, the last good HW Fedor beat was not Nog 4 yrs ago, it was Hunt in 06 (who would be a much better match up for Tim IMHO) I still say the same thing i said from the start Fedor is an amazing power house of talent and skill. Tim Sylvia is in the UFC for one reason only, he’s tall. Trust me, anyone who is on an MMA training group is gonna get pretty good at something weather it be jiujitsu, boxing, ect. Silvia shuffles around, waits for someone to step in and throws a straight. The straights can be completely neutralized by head movement which Randy Couture proved. Let’s look at Tim. How do you go from a title shot in the UFC to unemployed?
Now let’s look at it from a conspiracy theory angle. Randy pretty much turned his back on the UFC and left them hanging. Sure, he had good reasons but still. Then there’s Dana White. He and everyone else knows that Randy wants Fedor big time. Why not send in a hired gun to wreck Randys plans (not the greatest hired gun, but whatever).
Think about it. If Tim somehow wins this fight. That takes a lot of steam out of a Randy vs. Fedor bout.
