Anyone bashing this is retarded. This was an exhibition sparring session LOL. Ever heard of open weight grappling tournaments like Abu Dhabi. Shinya Aoki faced Roger Gracie, who weighs more than fedor. This sparring session was for the Japanese fans who want to see the superstars they respect in a training-like atmosphere. Fedor and Aoki are legends in Japan. Idiots bashing this are just ignorant, and no nothing about grappling.

Come on now guys…this was meant to get people to watch the M-1 show and help bring up the M-1 brand world wide. Shinya and Fedor are huge stars in Japan, much like A-Rod, Kobe, Crosby, etc…are giant stars here.

Imagine if Kobe was under contract to a European basketball league. He would still have a large following of fan’s here in North America, and would people be outraged if he put on a 1 on 1 game at his old highschool against their current star? NO…people would think it was awesome of him to do that, and people would want to go see him live if they didn’t have the chance to anymore. The highschooler wouldn’t have a chance in hell…much like Aoki, yet it still would get a bunch of fans in who would watch a highschool game….I don’t know how else to explain it from my point of view.
