| Rings - King of Kings 2000 Block B fight video of Fedor Emelianenko (2-0) Vs Ricardo Arona (2-0). | |
close 3rd round, hard to judge, i thought it would be arona but then all 3 judges chose emilianko, w/e
No hittin in the face when they were on the ground?
i want to see arona back in the 205 mix. along with overeem (at lhw or hw, whichever he is doing now)
That’s the most trouble I’ve ever seen Fedor in. Arona out-grappled him, but couldn’t seal the deal. Thanks for posting.
Tough decision, I wouldn’t have wanted to be a judge there.
Oh and Fedor’s gonna wipe Tim Sylvia’s ass for him.
This fight sucked. Fedor didnt have much in the gas tank, otherwise he coulda exploded with the Ground and Pound.
yeah different rules - can’t strike to face while on ground
everybody knows Arona won that fight…
Recardo Arona was robbed! Fedor gased in the first round. Fedor’s poorest performance.
Arona was so strong, but Fedor was 3 times stronger… getting out of a full mount from a heavy weight brazilian jujitsu fighter is not simple!
Fedor will destroy Arona right now, and yes Arona looked a bit better, but not sealing the deal does not get you extra bonus points!
No G&P makes for booooring MMA. Yellow cards were the best
I’m sorry, but Arona won that fight in my opinion. He had more takedowns, had the better position for longer, and pushed the action. Fedor had more sub attempts, but Arona was never in any danger. Bad decision, but good fight nonetheless!
Thanks for posting.
holy shit!! fedor lost that fight!!
I really admire Fedor but… if punches to the face were allowed while on the ground, that mount might have finished Fedor.
ye i agree the third round was arons but i think fedor should have won the fight over the first two! anyways it was early fighting days back then and fedor was better with use of the gi arona was better with no gi and with no gnp allowed fedor suffered so what can ya do
Really impressed with Aronas ability to not only take Fedor down, but wind up in dominant position most of the time. Despite the extremely slow pace on Fedors part, he was the only one really willing to stand and trade, and he stuffed A LOT of take downs. Tough call, but at the end of the fight Arona looked like hes getting up slow, and Fedor was still on his feet with his hands up.
if head shots were allowed then Fedor would’ve been screwed
Would have, could have, should have blablabla…
Great fight!
those japanese must love fedor
arona won
No way did Arona win that fight
Fedor constantly stuffed his takedowns and the only reason Arona would get on top of Fedor on the ground was because Fedor was constantly going for the guillotine choke and allowing it to go to the ground in the progress.
And yes Fedor let him get the mount because there is no strikes to the face so the full mount is not a dominating position and is more easily reversed by the fighter on bottom that it would be if he was in guard/half guard.
Fedor must have went for at leas 10 submission attempts in that fight while Arona had 1 half arsed Kimura that got him reversed.
And Fedor was far superior on the feet.
Anybody who thinks Arona won that fight knows nothing about MMA
well this sucks no G&P
