This was the one fight that I have watched that I actually thought Fedor’s career might be over. The slam by Randleman makes me cringe ever time I watch it. Fedor being able to recover from the slam is one reason that I still keep him at the top of my pound for pound list. If he can take that kind of blow to the neck and walk away it shows just how tough the man really is.

Yup more evidence of Fedor being overrated. He gets slammed on his neck by former UFC Heavyweight Champ Kevin Randleman, any other human would be getting around by blowing into a straw to direct his wheelchair; Fedor turns right around and kamura’s the dude.
I also like how stressed Fedor looks before he fights. I believe I’m more stressed every time I put my shoes on than that guy does stepping into a ring.
Anyone who thinks Fedor is overrated is out of their minds, he’s the best Heavyweight on earth bar none.

I seriosly dont understand why Dana is being so dumb. He could have held the most anticipated fight in MMA history in ufc and make UFC that much more popular. Instead he gets shitty ass fighters like Brock Lesnar to fight x HW champion Frank Mir, on his first fight in the UFC. UFC payed WWE or whatever wrestling company that Brock Lesnar came from $40000000 to show Brocks wrestling clips to promote his fight in UFC 81. Dana is going for popular fighters that might not even deserve to fight higher tier fighters. But since everyone wants to wach Brock Lesnar fight in UFC, this will make Dana more money. Dana doesnt care about future of Lesnar in UFC. He cares only about the money factor. This is one of the reasons why Randy Couture left. Now you have Tito Ortiz leaving after his next fight. Soon M1-Global will take over UFC. Because they truly want to make show the best fights in the world.

Are you fucking serious? This is Kevin Randleman we’re talking about here. Without the steroids you’re telling me Fedor would have lost? Get a damn clue.
Either A: Fedor wasn’t doing roids, and this was therefore a harder fight (I’m going to go ahead and assume Randleman was using steroids, merely because look at the guy.)
or B: They were both using steroids, and so wouldn’t that make it a harder fight for both men?
I really don’t understand that whole line of reasoning.
Maybe Fedor hasn’t fought appropriate opposition for a couple years now. You can’t tear down what he accomplished when he was kicking ass, no matter how misguided you might be.

Fedor is pure gold in my eyes. No fighter comes close in terms of power, versatility and record (one loss early in his career and by decision!). This mofo has never been submitted or knocked out and just keeps getting better and better.
Although I love Randy, the only Heavyweight that comes close to this guy, past or present, is Bas Rutten. Now Fedor vs Rutten would have been one hell of a fight…

Great fight by Fedor, but all of this “I can’t believe he came back from such a devastating slam” is a bunch of bunk. It’s called a suplay, fellas. I’ve seen 14 or 15 year old high school wrestlers come back and win matches after being suplayed. Not really a high risk of injury move, either, if you know how to take a bump. The only risk of breaking your neck when you are thrown like this is if you look up to see where you are going. That’s a no-no. Tuck your chin and keep your arms in (like Fedor does) and you’ll be fine. Quite frankly, big double leg slams like the ones Matt Hughes pulls off are significantly more bone jarring.
