Rogers did very well in the fight, and has given him alot of credibility in my eyes, more then all his previous victories, certainly. Fedor… well… ’nuff said.

What’s so great about Fedor is that in each fight you get to see he’s human. He gets hurt, he loses, but yet, he always wins. If he has a puncher’s chance, then consistent luck must be a great skill to have.

Fedor is an enigma. Against top level opponents he often gets pummeled and doesnt seem to have the upper hand throughout the fight. On the other hand, he is consistently able to pull clutch moves at just the right time to get the win. It cant just be luck, I havent seen him lose a fight since i started watching him in 2002.

all i have to say, is, that i watched the fight from my house, and yes, fedor won, but brett lost, and i think that, if brett would’ve won that fight, fedor would’ve lost it and his record would’ve changed, but now brett’s record change with the loss, and well, fedor now has one more win so his record actually did change too if you think about it. when the referee stoped the fight, i thought, damn, the fight is over! and it was probably cause of the way it ended, you know? the fight was alright. so yea, i’m sure if they fight again one of them will win, by KO or submission, who knows, that’s the way mma rolls.

Fedor was sloppy again and he fought an even more sloppy Rogers. Doesn’t help when Rogers drops his hands and eats it! Fedor can not survive Brock’s speed and power!

rogers gave him a good fight no doubt. was pretty surprised that rogers wasn’t too humble at the interview. he should be proud of what he accomplished doing as much damage as he did on fedor. guess he’s still in shock from tasting his first defeat.

I don’t know how anyone can question Rogers abilities or Fedor’s greatness after seeing this fight?

Rogers breaks Fedor’s nose with a jab, lands 3 or 4 bombs flush on Fedor’s chin while he’s on his back and still ends up getting ko’d.

Fedor showed once again that he’s a stone cold killer that just analyzes constantly, never gets excited and always finds a way to put his opponent away.

At this point there seems to be no answer for Fedor, it doesn’t matter how big or strong the opponent he’ll figure him out.

I love watching him fight, it’s a privilege to see a virtuoso at work.

I thought Brett was doing a very good job hanging in there with the likes of Fedor but, I saw that Brett kept his left hand low and Fedor just blasted him. I felt it was stopped a tad bit early but, job well done FEDOR. Who can actually stop this guy— Lesnar please, not gonna happen.

What makes Fedor different from other fighters is that he always looks human and seems like he may lose but ALWAYS wins…Rogers did hit him and hurt him(for anyone who thinks otherwise you are in denial) Fedor was hurt on the ground but he is a master strategist and saw an opening to escape and tried for the armbar…which if he was in a ring and had more room to move he may have actually pulled off…as he switched for the armbar he was stuck between the cage and Rogers whereas in a ring he would have been able to maneuver through the ropes…Fedor won the first round – multiple sub attempts, better striking, takedowns, escape from Roger’s dominant position, he was the aggressor, he hurt Rogers a couple times in the round, other than the 6 seconds of GnP that Rogers did Fedor had won that round…he mentioned it in post fight interview “i saw weakness in his footwork and took advantage” he timed it just like he timed AA…anyone who keeps saying oh Fedor is beatable…SOMEONE BEAT HIM THEN I WILL BELIEVE IT!!! M1-Global has “co-promoted” on the backs of a few organizations. They got Fedor and they WENT BUST! Strikeforce did a good job getting CBS to foot the bill. If they can do that, they can survive. At this point, Stikeforce will have to bring in laods of UFC fighters (not released past UFC fighters) to have some depth. If Henderson signs so be it. He will probaly be the champ in strikeforce – but he couldn’t in the UFC.

Lesnar / Fedor – Fedor is Awesome. Brock is a monster. The gameplan is simple – The bigger man would take it to the ground. If Lesnar can hold hdown, it’s over. There wouldn’t be any stand up. Fedor is one elusive son of a $%@$#@. His could submit Lesnar. We will probably never know. The only time this would happen is when both fighters will be past their prime. If you are going to blame anyone – Blame it on the right people – Fedor and M1 (remember – M1 is a paper organization – it needs other people’s money to make it work and Fedor is part owner of M1). Rogers was winning that fight, simple. Perhaps it was his cardio that improvement could’ve been made on. It was when he was winded, and backed up to stretch and regain air, then 6 seconds later BAMMM!

At the same time, I’m wondering if Rogers would’ve been able to defend anymore, but I understand Big John’s decision to stop the fight.

All that being said, finally Strikeforce has put something a little bigger on the radar. I LOVE the UFC, but wanna see more then a monopoly cause I love MMA. At the same time, Fedor…dude you gotta fight some sick fighters, IN THEIR PRIME! Not just a few hot shots, or fighters who just got their asses kicked in the UFC and are rebounding.

Strikeforce couldn’t have asked for a better main-event fight!It wasn’t slow-paced or boring, there was no controversy or technical difficulties of any sort. And it had everything you’d want in a fight: some stand-up striking, some ground-game, a few submission attempts, both fighters landing some great strikes, some blood, a spectacular KO, and a packed arena all jumping to their feet going crazy. They even had Big John Macarthy there to officiate. Their star fighter goes on with another spectacular win and the show was an overall success.
The fight even started after 10, which meant if there were any viewers who was watching the UFC fights on Spike! The Couture/Nog fight was over in time to switch channels in time to watch this fight in its entirety.

I’m guessing that Dana White probably isn’t too happy about the whole thing.

I think Fedor thought it was Halloween and he was Barry Bonds. First four punches and four homerun swings! Very entertaining!Strong as hell. But then “The Best MMA Fighter Ever” can’t keep Rogers down so he gets pressed up against the fence for the next minute. He looked great trying to breathe through the blood and wishing he was in a ring so he could stick his head out and restart the fight.

Fedor is very entertaining, strong, and fast. Great smothering technique. I loved the great SWING and a miss at 17 seconds! That was awesome. Bonds would be proud, if only he had connected. And “The Greatest Ever” ends the round with “The Great Russian Blanket” move.

Silva is the best “boxer” because he has been trained and competiting in boxing. To compare the two is unreasonable. A. Silva is great but he doesn’t fight guys who have 20 to 40 on him. sloppy fighting from fedor and a weak opponent. i give it 2 rogers he had heart. he took some shots and was able 2 tag fedor a couple of times, but brett rogers ain’t that great. much better heavyweights in the ufc. fedor wants 2 prove the best he needs 2 fight the best and they r not in strikeforce
