fedor is one of the best ever.undersized all the way,a real man takes on all comers.he has the down to earth personality that is respected by all respectable people.he didn’t look the part but he was one of the baddest men on the planet.he rose to the top and then had a fall but came back and proved he had the will.an era is over,for now.

Are some people actually dismissing fedor cause he didnt fight in the ufc? Or the fact he would like to get a 9-5 job to spend more time with his family? Who are these people, hey how did vitor,randleman,liddel,pulver,coleman,barnett do in pride? Fedor is easily the greatest hw mma fighter of all time and i for one will see watching him fight.

@rjcowger Emelianenko maybe never fought in UFC but he Fought in Pride FC. The most savage MMA organization in the world. Pride was a vale tudo, soccer kicks, smashing heads with footsteps, 10 minutes first rounds, not early stoppages, blood everywhere.

@rjcowger Pride FC was the real proving ground. Shogun, Rampage, Hendo, Anderson Silva, Wanderlei Silva were all former Pride fighters. The competition was tough and Japanese MMA rules were brutal. It’s a shame that some of these guys were past their prime before MMA became the powerhouse it is now. Maybe Fedor isn’t the best, but he deserves the respect he has gained and the people who say otherwise haven’t done their research. As far as arguing who the best is, there is no point. The only way to truly know the answers is to have a time machine and bring these fighters together when they are at their peak…sadly that isn’t possible:(

I tend to think that Fedor was a bit overrated, but it’s still a shame that he never fought in the UFC. I mean, if Dana would’ve gotten him to fight Brock… that would’ve been the equivalent to Mayweather Pacquiao for mma. Despite his last 3 fights in StrikeForce (which I think showed his age more than illegitimacy) he will go down in history as one of the most feared heavyweights in mma. Se la vie.
