I thought Fedor talking about having a contract with M1 for 3 more fights and that he is just fulfilling his obligation comment was very telling. it sounds like he won’t re-sign with them and maybe that’s why M1 is trying to milk this for as much as they can.

Well we can’t really blame the ufc this time. Check sherdog and you’ll see that Dana is trying to work out an awesome contract for Fedor and M-1 won’t take it. Guess we’ll never see him fighting in the UFC.

Fedor does have something to do with this mess. He is letting his managment control his future. He is a great fighter and he is a humble guy. I would love to see him fight the top heavyweights that the UFC has to offer, but I can’t excuse the fact that he is passing on this possibility. If he wanted to do it, he would do it. The fact that he is loyal is great, but in the end, he needs to do what is best for him. I don’t see how not taking the UFC’s offer isn’t the best for him.

I don’t really blame either side. Why would Dana give up any control to anyone it doesn’t make sense for him. Fedor has leverage in M-1. They are a large company they have m-1 challenge on hdnet and over a hundred fighters signed. Fedor is a part owner he wants his company to gain money. Why would he give up a chance to have a company he is part of and would allow him to bring great fights to russia. ie UFC fighters. Money is not the most important thing to fedor at this time. That could change or not. Dana can say all he wants that all the best fighters are in the ufc. Whether you agree or not doesn’t matter Fedor wants to be involved in the business side Dana won’t give up control that is the problem. I am not sure if Fedor would smash brock. I may never get to see it but I am sure hoping the Carwin gets a chance and punches right through brocks big flat head

And they want to do the same with UFC.
