Reminds me of when my Marine Corps buddy’s mother-in-law (from somewhere way off the beaten path in Georgia) visited us in training and said she had the most fantastic lunch with my family in Miami. Why is the name Phil Davis being thrown out as an answer to Jon Jones??? I guarantee Bones is working his bottom game just as hard as any wrestler is working their stand-up. By the time Davis (or any other wrestler) gets good enough to actually take Jones down, the kid will probably have mastered triangles and arm bars with those massive legs. If you’re looking for someone to beat this kid, look to the heavyweights. MAYBE.

I saw the whole hour long clip on ufc. com, and he’s hilarious. He will have a long career in showbiz after mma if he wants.
As for beating Jones, I feel that if Rashad, who knows all Jones’ achilles heel issues (weak spots) can’t beat him (and I’m pretty certain he won’t), then I don’t think anyone else has the chance.
If shogun was so slow compared to him, Rampage would be a snail. Shogun’s known for leaping in and out, and he couldn’t get in without taking abuse. Rampage is far too flatfooted and immobile. He’s just gonna stand and get knocked out in 2 mins if he tries. There is no step he can take that Jones can’t take faster and get there first. And I like Page.
I don’t even think Anderson can handle Jones. I think he’ll dominate LHW and possibly move up. Nobody on the scene right now at LHW has more of a chance than Shogun did (and he got SLAUGHTERED) except MAYBE Rashad, since he knows’ all of Jones’ deficiencies.
If Shad can’t beat Jones, no LHW can. Long live the king.

I’m not gonna go all Jones nuthugger here, but for anyone who didn’t tune in last wkend, Jones beat Rua up like a grown man vs a child. It actually hurt my heart to see a legend getting beat up so bad. The only credit I can give Rua is that not many people could have taken as much abuse as he did. Jones is on another lvl. If he can bring that kind of ferocity every time he’s the new standard for at least a few years.
