kimbo tap at the 1st round, thompson seing it loosen the guillotine a bit but didn’t let go just to make sure. kimbo feeling the guillotine no longer presurred his neck gives a thumbs-up sign to the ref. i think that’s the reason why thompson was talking while holding kimbo, he was arguing with the ref… its a FIX fight for eliteXC poster boy “kimbo”. i don’t hate kimbo i like how he work hard to be a legit MMA fighter but this fight pissed me. he didn’t work hard for this BS. i don’t like him anymore, he need to be favored by the ref to win.

Also Robert wtf u talking about UFC said no to NBC said no to CBS..UFC got the offer first not Elite XC…UFC doesn’t want some big media company to ruin the way they present there fighters to the world…..Also ELITE XC SUCKS…there poster boy KIMO SLICE SUCKS..I can bet you BJ Penn can take him out on the ground.

WTF ARE U TALKING ABOUT KIMBO FAN…..leave this site please you do understand MMA kimbo was done end of second round….if you can’t tell how set up that fight was you are blind or something is seriously wrong with you. He was done and out..He will never learn real MMA all he knows is a front gaurd WOW he doesn’t even know side guard which he should have used in this fight. Kimbo BLOWS ELITE XC BLOWS and for people to watch elite Xc shows u don’t understand MMA they are a WWE type oranization. They Suck.
If you want MMA fight that are good watch the following:
-UFC
-Pride
-K1
Those are the top three with real fighters and no fights being set-up..

kimbo just TKOd thompson. it was a tough fight for kimbo, but he did prove his ground defense. good job kimbo! one area kimbo still needs work in is conditioning, he was all out of breath and could barely talk in the end. if he wouldnt have knocked thompson out, he could have lost by split decision. (from getting takin down)

What a joke that kimbo fight was , He was fighting yet another mma bum and in the second round looked lost on the ground. The fight was stopped prematurely . How long will the elite XC shelter this guy from real mma talent. Also did you hear the crowd … they were Booing Kimbo , the fans are on to him. I have no problem with grooming a fighter but making a 2-0 fighter the main event , is that the best Elite XC has to offer?

I’m watching the first round of the fight as I type this and so far I’ve seen a great MMA match. Sure the ground skills by Kimbo are a bit sluggish, but you have to give props, he worked his game, excellent reversal, quick mount, great BJJ. The guy is clearly improving.

Onto Round 2: His lack of BJJ experience is really showing. As Shamrock pointed out — his guillotine attempt really was a rookie hold. Finally stood up with sluggish trading by the both and a near choke by slice after the slam. Kimbo looks like a real fighter. Again, Thompson’s BJJ and wrestling is superior and Kimbo’s lack of experience really shows through. One can only hope that with time the man will improve his ground game, a skill that really only comes with time. All you haters need to acknowledge how new the man is to the entire sport.

Oh… My… God… Look at Thompson’s ear. Get the man the name of a good plastic surgeon.

Luck for Kimbo — like theyre all saying. Let’s hope that next match Kimbo will bring a much tighter game. Kimbo will defeintely gain a lot from this win (loss). Good fight.
