He NAILED that kick! Log in to Reply dayeagle January 15, 2012 mama mia what a kick. looked like a movie Log in to Reply DanielMcfate January 15, 2012 Wow! It was like watching a statue fall in slow motion. Thanks Bruno!! Log in to Reply sirhitsalot January 15, 2012 Wow Awesome speed and accuracy Log in to Reply SpiderNoob7 January 15, 2012 The most amazing knockout ever.. I’ve been watching MMA for a long time and that was definitely the most spectacular knockout I’ve ever seen.. just the accuracy of the kick and the aggressive look on his face as he was spinning and landed that thing.. Awesome Log in to Reply Kill em All January 15, 2012 KO of the night bonus!!! Log in to Reply PitfighterZ January 15, 2012 Not the most spectacular, but really awesome! Etim is a great fighter and it’s sad to see him going down hard like that, but it just adds to his collection of exciting fights, even though he is on the wrong end of this one. High-level striking from both and an awesome fight. Log in to Reply axl782 January 15, 2012 wow Log in to Reply chiroguy January 15, 2012 SpiderNoob7…i absolutely agree with you. I have been watching mma for many years and that was 1 of the most picture perfect knockouts i have ever seen. Simply perfect!!! An absolute thing of BEAUTY!!! Log in to Reply MRBARBARYCOAST January 15, 2012 KO of the decade at least!!-Amazing!-That is why I love to watch MMA-Anything can happen at anytime-so many variables Log in to Reply marvelous mad madam mim January 15, 2012 i dont find it all that great. maybe if he landed this on an anderson silva type of opponent but terry etim?? its like doing a rampage slam on my kid brother, it just doesnt have the same impact/relevance. also this was not FOTN Log in to Reply Muay Thai CareBear January 15, 2012 Nice Tae Kown Do spinning heel kick, perfectly excecuted. Etim put up a great fight, but it was Edson’s night. Log in to Reply mmafan400 January 15, 2012 it was like in movies, the dramatic ending when the protagonist finally kills the antagonist, and they do that slow motion fall….just beautiful Log in to Reply luis January 15, 2012 He fell like shit kkkkkkk Log in to Reply Adam87 January 15, 2012 That knockout is beautiful. Log in to Reply jon January 15, 2012 Best knock out I’ve ever seen! Log in to Reply whitekimbo January 15, 2012 it would have been better to get hit by a car than that kick Log in to Reply halo666 January 15, 2012 Re jdogg: Umm……that is not Tae Kwon Do, that is Brazilian Capoeira. Log in to Reply Rick January 15, 2012 Oh My God! Log in to Reply FailSonnen January 15, 2012 Nice for UFC but I still like Badr Hari’s better Plus Badr Hari getting knocked out by the Rolling Thunder kick lol Log in to Reply pillowhands January 15, 2012 Steven Seagal was perfecting that kick for the last 50 years jus so he could lend it to Edson. Edson had to rent that kick from Master Seagal since he owned the rights to it. Log in to Reply shocktime January 15, 2012 Dayummmm. Best Kick ever! Better than Pettis Ninja Kick cuz this actually KOed the guy. Log in to Reply Marty Walker January 15, 2012 I know the kicker felt so wonderful for feeling such a solid contact kick. Seething with hate is what I would be feeling. You don’t always get that chance for this ending. This is why I’ve never lost any fight. Bringing deep hatered into this fighting with skill makes you one dangeroud dude. ( BTW, I’ve only been in 6 or 7 fights and anly necessary). I didn’t go out looking for fights. Now I’m and old man with heart problems and disabled back so I am talking about my glory days. Log in to Reply chiroguy January 15, 2012 Marty…bringing deep hatred into fighting with skill makes you 1 dangerous dude!!! LMAO….who r u…r u Steven Seagal behind that computer!!! Log in to Reply murell January 15, 2012 It’s sooooo obvious that when the u.f.c goes to Brazil they always stack the cards in favor of the Brazilians just to appease their fans! Log in to Reply dankarelli January 15, 2012 hey Murell, dont be a hater because Brazil cleaned house on the americans (and 1 canadian for that matter). Grab your nut sack and stop being such a bitch. pillowhands, HILARIOUS. Log in to Reply Sooooopernate January 15, 2012 @halo666 That was a wheel kick, which is utilized by many martial arts. It definitely looked like a Tae Kwon Do technique (I’ve practiced it for many years) but you’ll find wheel kicks in almost all martial arts that emphasize kicking. Karate has its version, as does capoeira. Log in to Reply SpaceInvader January 15, 2012 To the person that said this is Capoeira… You are correct, however it is also know as the spinning heel kick in Tae Kwon Do, Karate, etc. and although rarely seen, it is in Muay Thai as well roughly translated as “dragon whips it’s tail”. I would say that kickboxers and Tae Kwon Do guys work this kick more than anyone. Look up WTF Tae Kwon Do on YouTube and you’ll see many KOs with this move. A TKD guy was killed a few years ago at the Worlds after getting kicked with this move, and he even had head gear on. It’s a powerful move. Log in to Reply KungFuLowKick January 15, 2012 @mim Don’t be such a hater.Etim isn’t top 5 but he’s a great fighter and his striknig is his specialty so Knocking him that way is something. Log in to Reply BRAW January 15, 2012 How Van Damme of him Log in to Reply Rio_Warrior January 15, 2012 Timberrrrrrrr. Blam! Log in to Reply MMAGiantSilva January 15, 2012 Wow sick. Log in to Reply KouNTa KuLCHa January 15, 2012 Mos def, up there with Marius Zaromskis as one of the greatest KOs by kick, ever. I think even Tekken’s Hwoarang is a bit impressed. 😉 ♠ Log in to Reply Murell January 15, 2012 That was Awesome when Jon Jones Crushed Shogun,i think i’ll watch that one again. Log in to Reply jches January 15, 2012 @halo666 I’d be willing to bet just about every martial art that has a focus on kicking teaches that kick. I’m sure capoeira has it, but from training tae kwon do i can definitely tell you that it’s a tkd kick. I’ve also heard it called a back swing kick in tkd, as well. I’m not ready to call that the knockout of the decade, but that was beautifully executed. Log in to Reply bruce dragon January 15, 2012 use what is useful, now do u believe in bruce lee, his moves are still ahead of it’s time. believe it ! Log in to Reply luiscontmo January 15, 2012 Idk why the other guy said capoeira, but I affirm to it because my trainer had trained with him at the ABADA-Capoeira Academy in Rio de Janeiro. Log in to Reply akmd114379 January 16, 2012 terry silver from karate kid 3 would have been impressed Log in to Reply maynard January 16, 2012 I train with him at the armory, Its muay thai and thats it. LOL at the tae kwon do and capeoeira seriosuly LOL. HEs been doing muay thai under Anderson Franca his whole life and I have seen Franca teach this move over.and.over. Log in to Reply Tap or Snap January 17, 2012 That’s what I call KO FORCA BRAZILLLLLLLLLLLLL Log in to Reply LongLeggedFreak January 18, 2012 I love how all the TKD freaks are taking ownership of that kick. thats Capoeira folks!! <> Log in to Reply LongLeggedFreak January 18, 2012 Meia Lua Rotado Log in to Reply Jase January 19, 2012 Edson Barboza has trained in capoeira (like a good 80-90% of Brazilian fighters lol) but his base art is no doubt muay Thai. His years in capoeira may have helped him hone the speed, timing, and flexibility to nail that kick but the kick is without a doubt a MUAY THAI KICK. It’s called CHORAKE FAD HANG which is Thai for “Crocadile Whips Its Tail”. All the tkd fanboys claiming ownership as if their art is the only martial art with spinning kicks is soooo hilarious. It’s muay Thai, people! Look it up! Youtube or google it! Log in to Reply chino8303 January 19, 2012 Capoeira is making its way into the sport go!!!! Meia Lua!!!!!
