Edson Barboza vs. Terry Etim Fight Video UFC 142 Rio Main Card.
Back up video.
Love to see some Tae Kwon Do put to good use. He NAILED that kick!
mama mia what a kick. looked like a movie
Wow! It was like watching a statue fall in slow motion. Thanks Bruno!!
Wow Awesome speed and accuracy
The most amazing knockout ever.. I’ve been watching MMA for a long time and that was definitely the most spectacular knockout I’ve ever seen.. just the accuracy of the kick and the aggressive look on his face as he was spinning and landed that thing.. Awesome
KO of the night bonus!!!
Not the most spectacular, but really awesome!
Etim is a great fighter and it’s sad to see him going down hard like that, but it just adds to his collection of exciting fights, even though he is on the wrong end of this one.
High-level striking from both and an awesome fight.
wow
SpiderNoob7…i absolutely agree with you. I have been watching mma for many years and that was 1 of the most picture perfect knockouts i have ever seen. Simply perfect!!! An absolute thing of BEAUTY!!!
KO of the decade at least!!-Amazing!-That is why I love to watch MMA-Anything can happen at anytime-so many variables
i dont find it all that great. maybe if he landed this on an anderson silva type of opponent but terry etim?? its like doing a rampage slam on my kid brother, it just doesnt have the same impact/relevance. also this was not FOTN
Nice Tae Kown Do spinning heel kick, perfectly excecuted. Etim put up a great fight, but it was Edson’s night.
it was like in movies, the dramatic ending when the protagonist finally kills the antagonist, and they do that slow motion fall….just beautiful
He fell like s***
kkkkkkk
That knockout is beautiful.
Best knock out I’ve ever seen!
it would have been better to get hit by a car than that kick
Re jdogg: Umm……that is not Tae Kwon Do, that is Brazilian Capoeira.
Oh My God!
Nice for UFC but I still like Badr Hari’s better
Plus Badr Hari getting knocked out by the Rolling Thunder kick lol
Steven Seagal was perfecting that kick for the last 50 years jus so he could lend it to Edson.
Edson had to rent that kick from Master Seagal since he owned the rights to it.
Dayummmm. Best Kick ever! Better than Pettis Ninja Kick cuz this actually KOed the guy.
I know the kicker felt so wonderful for feeling such a solid contact kick. Seething with hate is what I would be feeling. You don’t always get that chance for this ending. This is why I’ve never lost any fight. Bringing deep hatered into this fighting with skill makes you one dangeroud dude. ( BTW, I’ve only been in 6 or 7 fights and anly necessary). I didn’t go out looking for fights. Now I’m and old man with heart problems and disabled back so I am talking about my glory days.
Marty…bringing deep hatred into fighting with skill makes you 1 dangerous dude!!! LMAO….who r u…r u Steven Seagal behind that computer!!!
It’s sooooo obvious that when the u.f.c goes to Brazil they always stack the cards in favor of the Brazilians just to appease their fans!
hey Murell, dont be a hater because Brazil cleaned house on the americans (and 1 canadian for that matter). Grab your nut sack and stop being such a bitch.
pillowhands, HILARIOUS.
@halo666
That was a wheel kick, which is utilized by many martial arts. It definitely looked like a Tae Kwon Do technique (I’ve practiced it for many years) but you’ll find wheel kicks in almost all martial arts that emphasize kicking. Karate has its version, as does capoeira.
To the person that said this is Capoeira… You are correct, however it is also know as the spinning heel kick in Tae Kwon Do, Karate, etc. and although rarely seen, it is in Muay Thai as well roughly translated as “dragon whips it’s tail”. I would say that kickboxers and Tae Kwon Do guys work this kick more than anyone. Look up WTF Tae Kwon Do on YouTube and you’ll see many KOs with this move. A TKD guy was killed a few years ago at the Worlds after getting kicked with this move, and he even had head gear on. It’s a powerful move.
@mim
Don’t be such a hater.Etim isn’t top 5 but he’s a great fighter and his striknig is his specialty so Knocking him that way is something.
How Van Damme of him
Timberrrrrrrr. Blam!
Wow sick.
Mos def, up there with Marius Zaromskis as one of the greatest KOs by kick, ever. I think even Tekken’s Hwoarang is a bit impressed.
♠
That was Awesome when Jon Jones Crushed Shogun,i think i’ll watch that one again.
@halo666
I’d be willing to bet just about every martial art that has a focus on kicking teaches that kick. I’m sure capoeira has it, but from training tae kwon do i can definitely tell you that it’s a tkd kick. I’ve also heard it called a back swing kick in tkd, as well.
I’m not ready to call that the knockout of the decade, but that was beautifully executed.
use what is useful, now do u believe in bruce lee, his moves are still ahead of it’s time. believe it !
Idk why the other guy said capoeira, but I affirm to it because my trainer had trained with him at the ABADA-Capoeira Academy in Rio de Janeiro.
terry silver from karate kid 3 would have been impressed
I train with him at the armory, Its muay thai and thats it. LOL at the tae kwon do and capeoeira seriosuly LOL. HEs been doing muay thai under Anderson Franca his whole life and I have seen Franca teach this move over.and.over.
That’s what I call KO FORCA BRAZILLLLLLLLLLLLL
I love how all the TKD freaks are taking ownership of that kick. thats Capoeira folks!! <>
Meia Lua Rotado
Edson Barboza has trained in capoeira (like a good 80-90% of Brazilian fighters lol) but his base art is no doubt muay Thai. His years in capoeira may have helped him hone the speed, timing, and flexibility to nail that kick but the kick is without a doubt a MUAY THAI KICK. It’s called CHORAKE FAD HANG which is Thai for “Crocadile Whips Its Tail”. All the tkd fanboys claiming ownership as if their art is the only martial art with spinning kicks is soooo hilarious. It’s muay Thai, people! Look it up! Youtube or google it!
Capoeira is making its way into the sport go!!!! Meia Lua!!!!!
