Eddie Alvarez, the ex-Bodog Fight welterweight champion, has signed a 3 fight contract with EliteXC. Also Alvarez has a deal with M-1 Global that was first brought to light by Sam Caplan of ProElite. com.
With Bodog Fight taking a brake from television, some of their fighters have be listed now on different fight events. Alvarez was one of Bodogs bigest draws.
11-1 in pro mixed martial arts, he has fought mostly at welterweight, but plans to drop to 160 pounds while fighting for both M-1 and EliteXC.
The ex-Bodog fighter looks to be fighting against Hawaiian Ross “Da Boss” Ebanez at the Jan. 25 Showtime/EliteXC event in Atlantic City but the fight is not locked in yet.
Alvarez went 3-1 while fighting for Bodog. His only loss was to Nick “The Goat” Thompson by TKO.
His M-1 Global contract can not be discussed yet so no info on an upcoming fight with them as of now.
