I honestly don’t know why people were arguing that Herman won. Belcher was more aggressive, more controlling, and aside from a minute or two struggling to get off the ground, picked Herman apart for the duration of the fight.

I’ll be interested to see how he does against a more talented BJJ opponent. Belcher’s ground game seemed to be non-existent and if someone can get past his tight Muay Thai skills, he could be in some real trouble.

Belcher seemed happy to out-box herman on the feet, but i didn’t see much effort to finish the fight. He hit him with some hard punches but never seemed like he wanted to go for a knock out or tko.

This was a close fight however I think Ed won. Of course I’m not a ref or even fight but he landed punches and got take downs. In past fights the take downs most often led the fighter to victory. Ed didn’t seem to push as much as the other guy but he was I feel a better overall fighter in this fight.

Kick ass site

Belcher looked like he was fucking around half the time. I was surprised that Ed didn’t win. Never leave it to the judges.

I kinda thought Ed won that too but Belcher’s strikes felt so crisp and clean. I loved it when his corner was screaming “NO KICKS” and then he did it the second time in the third round. His look to his own corner was funny.

Herman didn’t do enough to win the fight.

How can people say that Ed deserved the win. if you get beat up on the stand up and then at the end you pull off a take down that doesnt give u the round, or at least it shouldnt.

Dont just look at take downs to decide who wins rounds. this is MIXED MARTIAL ARTS

I also don’t know what herman is arguing about. He barely did anything on his feet, most of his punches had no power in them, aside from that left hook which is equivalent to a walked overhand right. Belcher had his hands down most of the time, anyone with even decent standup would make him pay for that.

That fight had Herman’s name on it. Belcher came close but Herman did better IMO.

I have no idea what you guys who are saying Herman won are thinking. He was getting rocked all night. The best thing I can say about Herman is that he can take a punch. A lot of guys would have been KO’ed by a few of those punches from Belcher.

Herman came forward the whole fight. Six takedowns to none. Several submission attempts. Ed will have surgery soon after this fight to repair an injury sustained while training pre-fight . Still think he won the fight even tho he couldn’t fight his normal game or train as usual. I was at the fight and the crowd sounded their disapproval with the decision. I loved the way he walked thru some very good jabs. What a warrior. Belcher looked good with standup and some very good kicks. Would like to see a rematch with both fighters at 100%. Two very skilled fighters. Good fight!

yupbaby…you obviously dont know mma…but it’s fun to read statements like yours…it keeps humor in an otherwise very serious game.
