DREAM 9 Super Hulk Weigh-In Results

Ikuhisa Minowa vs. Bob Sapp DREAM 9

All 20 fighters make their allowed weight for DREAM 9 “Super Hulk” event. The bouts take place at the Yokohama Arena in Kanagawa, Japan, and air in North America on HDNet at 5 a.m. ET. An encore presentation is scheduled for May 29 at 10 p.m. ET.


In addition to a DREAM middleweight title match, DREAM 9 brings the first round of an eight-man open-weight “Super Hulk” tournament and the second round of the DREAM featherweight grand prix.

The open-weight tournament will bring some huge weight differences between opponents. Once NFL lineman Bob Sapp (320 pounds) oversizes 196-pound opponent Ikuhisa “Minowaman” Minowa by more than 120 pounds, Jan Nortje (352) has nearly 130 pounds on opponent Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou (225), and former MLB player Jose Canseco (253 pounds) will be giving up nearly 80 pounds to 331-pound Hong Man Choi.
